I need serious and mature answers please. My daughter (age 9, almost 10) has had some stomach pains the last few days. Her flatulance is sour smelling and her stools have went from diarrhea, to soft, to regular. Sometimes green in color. Does anyone know what it could be? I have cut out any sweets and am having her drink nothing but water. I have her eat crackers to settle her stomach when she has these pains. She has not thrown up. Any ideas? Thank you...

I can see I was misunderstood. I do not just feed her crackers. Only when she has the pains do I do this. Thank you...

Ginger Ale is better for a sour stomach.

For Nausia there is an over the counter product called Emetrol that is FANTASTIC.

I don't know if you want to only feed her crackers, you may want to include some type of soup or just broth if she can keep it down.

But I would suggest calling your doctor to be safe.

wow...that's weird sounds like what i just went through with my 5 yr old son.it went a wk and 3 days in hospital before they finally figured out that it was food poisoning take your kid to the doctors and the only way to find out that it is that, is a stool sample.and fast food is not the only way to get it there's a number of things you can get it from!they also told me not to force him to eat just make sure for him to drink the best thing to give him is Gatorade.so i hope this helps!

Sounds like she had a bout of food poisoning or a virus. Start her back on soups and then regular food.

Could easily be a parasite.. my child had giardia last year (whew, the smell out of that kid). It's really fairly common, but easily treatable.

That doesn't sound very good at all. I would call your local hospital and ask a nurse . . . soon.
