Wait, I am going to hide mine better.
Gee, with 7 years your daughter will just remember something weird that her grandma had and was trembling, same as your mother when she saw her and her strange thing.
If you want her to understand and never touch again, tell her that your mother uses that machine for setting and cleaning her false teeth - even if she has the most beautiful natural smile from the world and then ask her if she needs one. If the answer is yes, get her a beautiful tooth brush and strawberry toothpaste and tell her that is a gift from the tooth fairy.
Stop putting attention to the "incident" and nothing will happen.

She is 7. More than likely she has already forgotten about it. If not, my approach with my children has always been, "If they ask a question, they get an answer." I keep things factual and to the point. Not personal. Usually the child will lead the discussion, and stop you when they are not ready for TOO MUCH INFORMATION! Don't answer or provide more info than they are ready for. Treat sex as a healthy part of life without making it taboo. By being honest, you leave the door open for future conversations and open communication. Again, don't discuss your personal sex life, but refer to things in the third person...As far as "Grandma", it's still okay for a child to know that everyone at all ages can lead a healthy sex life. My kids are heading into their teenage years, and I feel they have a great foundation now.

Your daughter need not know who the vibrator belongs to just because she found it in Grandma's home. Visitors or overnight guests may have left it there. At age 7, you could certainly, just tell her what she found was part of a accurate, human body part demonstration kit for adult anatomy classes. It is doubtful that she would demonstrate any further interest in it after that kind of an explanantion.

She probably already forgot about it. But, IF she asks, just tell her it's a massager for grownups. It shouldn't matter that it was shaped like a penis, what 7yr old knows what a penis looks like!?!?

Tell your daughter that if she still wants to know that in 5 years, you'll gladly give her the answer.
