It's usually a strawman argument. They put the phrase "I can't see God, so he does not exist!" in your mouth, and respond to that, rather than addressing a point you're actually making.
If your argument is that because you cannot see God, God does not exist, the response is accurate and appropriate. Not being able to see God does not prove that God does not exist. But it doesn't prove that he does, either. We have proof that air and wind exist. We do not have proof that God exists. There is nothing that we know of that can only be explained by the existence of God, no matter how many things some people point to, as evidence.

Now why would you want to trap God in a balloon, or detect how fast He can fly through the air, or even make a God tight room?? It doesn't matter in the long run God knows who loves, cares, believes in Him. You must have gone through some rough times and I feel bad for you for being ignorant to the Word.

Hello,
God is not air to trap in a balloon or test his speed or to make an air tight room.
But;
You can trap the feelings of God in your heart (think it is a balloon) when you do good things and help the needy person. Really you will feel it.
The speed? yes if you are pure in heart your prayer will heard soon and you can see the result instantly.
Tight room? yes the tight room is your heart; make some space for god and lock it.
I am an ordinary person and I don't know philosophy. What came to my mind I wrote to you.
Why don't you try the above?

first of all you couldn't trap god in a balloon because he is in heaven, second of all god doesn't fly in the air, and third of all that one doesn't make any sense. And actually we do think, we just have faith because we know how wonderful god has been in our lives, and how do we follow? The only thing that we follow is god !!!!

I've personally never made that statement. I can see God through the miracles that have happened in my life. I don't just follow what someone says. I didn't just go to church and become a Christian over night. I questioned things because its hard to convince me of things unless I can make perfect since to me no matter what people say. I thought real hard about it. I've seen the changes in my life since I converted. So, no I don't have to physically see God to know he exist I can just look at my life and the changes he made.

God is only a name given by people. God's power (namely " Energy") can be detected. But no body can receive the whole god's power. He will death.
If you are lucky today, it means you get a little bit loving energy from god's power. Not from air.
They are only want to explain that god is exist.

a metaphor or simile is not a direct equivalence. saying god is like air is to explain one of the difficult elements of god's nature to someone on the "outside". In some ways, god is like a peanut butter sandwich, but not in every way. If god could be identified directly with one specific thing, he wouldn't be god.
lighten up charlie.

Like many atheists, it sounds like you have to really talk yourself into believing there's no God.
And whenever we have to talk ourselves into believing or doing something, then there's probably a problem with that something.
No offense, but we who know and follow God are intellectually stronger than people who do not.
We don't need proof, nor do we need to see Him physically, to accept that He exists. It takes a certain mental and intellectual strength to do that -- something which atheists don't have.

You will never trap God.
You will see Him one day.
We do have God tight rooms called chapels, temples.
I think you would be better off just to follow. :)
