if you've been the same way in 'the real world' as you've been on YA., have no doubt that you would be missed quite a bit...look at all those 'best answers' you've had...i read thru some of them and you didn't get them for being witty or clever or anything like that (although i found them to be well-written)...you got them because your answers helped someone else...and that is truly something...your nickname matches your behavior...i've been enjoying reading your posts...now, you could use some encouragement...remember, God loves you, even if He hasn't seen fit to make your path an easy one...instead of riches, he's given you a generous heart, and that is more precious than diamonds...He's given you strength, and you've proved it by enduring every trial before you-He's proud of you, and has laid up enormous treasures for you in heaven...he truly loves you more than you can know...like the saying goes, if He had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it...God bless you, peace...pls feel free to message my anytime...i've been going thru the same things myself, and i know it's not easy...

You would be missed. In every endevor there are super stars and there are those behind the sceines making it possible for the stars to shine.
This life is a lesson, it is possible that the lesson that God wants you to learn is humility and acceptance.
It's ok to enjoy your life on earth but you should not expect an "atta boy" for everything you do or anything you do. Do it because it's the right thing to do not because of the acliam you will receive for doing it.
Then you will be happy in doing it not because of the praise you recieve but the inner joy that will come from knowing you did the right thing but also for the right reason.
And the funny thing will probably be that once you get used to doing things just because it's the right thing to do, then the "atta boys" will show up.
But never underestimate the work you do. If you ever doubt that statment, just thing about what would happen if all garbage pickup and cleaning services stopped at the same time for a full month. Life as we know it would fall apart. But those are often thought of as meaningless and mindless jobs...
Stay strong.

If you feel that you should have more rewards on earth then you are really not interested in giving God the glory. Sorry but it's the truth.
You are being very contradictory. You say that you do a lot behind the scenes for God but feel like you are living a mundane life. Sounds like you want the attention. God's not going to use you when he knows that you are expecting the "rewards" here on earth.

Nothing is ever created or destroyed, things just change shape, form, color, smell, concepts etc. Whatever you are made of will always be forming new combinations. Death is the beginning of new life. People will definitely miss a loved one especially a good one.
Your ability to do something behind the scene for the Lord is your best award. Millions are handicapped in many ways whereas God has give you ability there can not be a better reward for you in this otherwise painful life.
How much energy comes out when a single atom is split? Can a spacecraft survive if it has a tiny hole in its body? We all are part of a machine, we are not fully aware of the Grand Game Plan of God but every single part of this universal machine is equally important especially when the part is ready to work in the best possible way. Keep saying " Make me thy instrument" and remain satisfied and Happy with whatever God wants you to do-Believe in his Goodness and fairness - as you do

This is a case of self-pity. Don't think that way! And if you feel that rewards should not just be in heaven, but also on earth, then you're doing all your good deeds for selfish purposes, and not sincerely for the Lord. And of course people will miss you if you were gone! You might not see it, but people always care. Notice the little things they do for you.
You are making a difference, even if you don't feel it. Sometimes, we do things that changes the people around us, but we don't realize it, so keep on being nice and all that good stuff.

I think this thought crosses everyone's mind at one time or another. I think we all want to matter and have a purpose in life.
If you have asked the Lord to use you, and you feel you are following His will for your life, then you need not worry about whether anyone would miss you or not. THEY WOULD MISS YOU!
Let's put it this way... we all want recognition and reassurance that we are doing our job well. But you can't always count on people to respond in the ways we would like them to respond. If you are working for the Lord, you will be rewarded -- but you may find those rewards in places you didn't expect -- like in seeing the smiles on the faces of those you helped.
If you have never taken the time to watch the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," you might need to sit down and watch it. It might make you feel a little better.

People would miss you for a while, and then you would be forgotten. If you are famous and moved mountains in life, it takes a little bit longer. But ultimately, no one remembers or cares much about even the greatest of kings from 10,000 years ago, aside from the occasional romp into history to see how man has progressed. Now that we have written and electronic records, mass communications, and plenty of idolic worship of powerful people, we can expect names like Abraham Lincoln, Mao Tsetung, Vincent Price, Osama bin Laden, Adolf Hitler, and Jesus Christ to be remembered for a longer period of time. But eventually, when the records ultimately degrade, along with human memory, all of these people too will be forgotten.
Live for the present, because the future will progress without you if you do not.

I've wondered that myself. I am wiccan though. I sort of got turned off by the Catholic school I went too and when a nun slapped me across the face when i asked her how can God be the son,Jesus, the father and the holy spirit. I have never gotten an answer and it is thirty two years later. I take in animals and I would like to think I was making a difference. The truth is this is a cruel, harsh, evil world and we have to live like we would want to be, not what it really is.

I'm not sure what you mean by "behind the scenes for the Lord", but if you are truly doing it for the Lord don't worry about the rewards. Do it for your love of God and He will reward you in His own time, whether it be here or heaven.

The problem as I see it is in what organised religion uses to grab its "sheep", which is the concept of faith. If you are doubting the validity of whatever it is you hold holy (as in "The Lord") and are wondering if your efforts and sacrifices are justified, then you should actually be questioning your faith.... because the whole concept behind organised Catholicism is the "unquestionable" faith one must have towards "God".
Everything relating to this "God" of catholicism/christianity revolves around believing in things which are not material nor physical. This "faith" is what they use to seperate the "believers" from the rest of us non-believers. In essence, you must believe in this "God" in order to reap the benefits of such devotion in the "afterlife".
If you are beginning to wonder why you cannot reap these (or other, lesser) benefits while you are corporial/alive on earth, it is simply a normal response to the changing social climate of the world and humanity. The world is getting more and more overpopulated, with organised religions losing their control over the human race. Therefore people are becoming more and more selfish, individualistic, and self-righteous without the responsibility implied. So it is difficult to find solace or even validity in today's world, especially when living with "archaic" moral values based on organised catholicism...
These feelings you are having appear to be somewhat similar to those I used to have decades ago before I became agnostic and discovered that (to myself) if there is a "god" or sorts, then it's either dead or just doesn't care about humanity. In my case, I have a bone to pick with this so-called "god" if it does exist...
So don't feel too minuscule... We're all little ants stuck in this small anthill in the middle of nowhere.... Sounds cryptic? Welcome to reality, baby!
