I hope it is not too wrong because a long time ago, I was 24 and began dating a girl who was 17... and her mother was a lawyer! You can imagine how I felt about being "close" to her...
Basically there is NOTHING wrong with an age difference like that. As you grow older the age differences become less and less apparent. But when you're talking about people in their "teens" and in their 20s, the age difference does seem to matter alot more than the older folk.
There's also the whole minority aspect of things, which often makes dating a 17-year old when you're in your 20s feel a bit off. Don't forget the maturity issue which should play a major role in justifying your own decisions.
Myself I am now 35 (already! Old School!) and happily married to a 34 year old woman, and I often wonder just how "young" I would be willing to go if I were to go back on the dating scene. But I am a special case, and I find most "girls" 25 and younger to still be too immature for my own personnal tastes. But there are always exceptions!

You have to be careful in a position like this especially if the state you live in is strict about rape of a minor even though she is 17 some states still consider her to be a minor. I say just wait til she turns 18 because then she is consider an adult and the age difference really isn't that big a deal some people date more than 20 yrs. older in age. If you love her wait til she is 18 and if you just have to have sex with her why don't you put a ring on her finger so that it will be right in God's eyes.

She is so young at that age they don't really know what they want. And if they make decisions like being in love with a 24 year old that might live to regret it. Probably by a legal standpoint depending on states laws, your relationship might be consider wrong.

It is right now because she's under aged. Wait til September. Then, it will be fine. But I honestly dont see whaat you would have in common with a 17 year old? Unless you are still living at home with your parents, working a part-time job, and have zits???

well the first question is to ask yourself is it love or lust.love is never wrong when the two of you are of legal age, being 24 gives you 7/8 years more expierence of life and its emotions than the one you love .and above all dont rush things ,find out how she feels about you .Love is a BIG word and ....heres to you be happy

Just ask yourself this question. Would you want a 24 year old dating and/or having sex with your 17 year old daughter/sister?

No, she's going to be 18 in next month. My husband is 6 years older then I am. No big deal.
