I am about to do the dedication ritual, but I've been putting it off because I can't find a meaningful craft name. What websites would you recomend (I used the last of my money on wicca books) to help me choose my name? PLEASE DON'T ANSWER IF YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME I'M GOING TO HELL!

Also I was thinking of something involving dragons because it keeps on popping into my head.

Before I did a dedication ritual, I studied, meditated, and searched for long hours to find just the right name to take. I decided on "Thama". When the time came in my ritual, I was shocked that my deities gave me a name---and it was something that I had never considered yet it was perfect for describing my true essence. I still smile when I remember that ritual. My studying wasn't in vain, though. Since I do not use the name that my deities gave me in public, I used Thama for those situations. Study the things that draw you to them but remember that when the time comes, everything will fall into place.

No, you do no longer could decide on a mystical call. Are you self-dedicating, or dedicating right into a coven? Coven dedication would desire to have you ever decide on a mystical call. if it rather is the case, then think of approximately what you like to end via beginning up. What deities draw you? Meditate on it, you will 'know' what's sturdy. I took the call 'Mariposa' for awhile because it rather is Spanish for Butterfly and the butterfly is a logo of transformation, which replaced into what i replaced into striving for on the time. I even have considering that discarded that call, plenty via fact i'm no longer in contact in Wicca, and Celtic Paganism does not require particular names.

I agree with E Willow. You don't have to have a name for your dedication. I would meditate on it for a bit. If the dragons are speaking to you as far as having something of them in your name I would listen. Mine also involves dragons. Give it time and it will come to you.

Uh, how is pulling a random name off a list on a website going to be meaningful?

Meditate. Pay close attention to things that reveal themselves to you. You don't have to choose a name to have a dedication. Let your name find you.
