What's the difference between an ionity hair straightener and a steamer straightener?Which is better?

Im thinking of buying a hair style tool. In this case,its hair straightener(flat iron).
I saw two products that caught my interest. A Vidal Sasson Steamer Straightener and a Panasonic Ionity Hair Straightener.
Both have good benefits.However I am not sure which is the best?
Can someone ,maybe a hairstylist or somethin,tell me the difference and give me an idea of which to buy(between the above mentioned).thanks!

Both are known to fry your hair if not used right. But to choose between ionity and steam, defiantly ionity is better. If you want the best results without damaging your hair, buy a hair brush clamp and set your blow dryer on cool and straighten your hair after your shower. You might also want to consider going to to a salon and having them put in a chii system in your hair. It keeps it straight for 3-5 months and is well worth the money.

an ion straitener is a gimic, but they work ok, and the steam straitener is bad for your hair..the last thing that you want while straitening your hair is any moisture..which is what steam is. it will damage and cinge your hair. get a good quality ceramic straitner at Sallys beauty supply and a good hair serum like biologe shine renewal that you spray on before blow drying. make sure your hair is completely dry before you flat iron and do it in small sections for maximum straitness.
