Dental implants are fine. I have an implant, and I have had MRIs of my head and my neck. I am also a MRI technologist, and I am constantly in the middle of the magnetic field. But, here is info I found to back up my statements:

"Most metal implants typically do not cause problems. This is because most alloys used in orthopaedic and dental implants are not ferromagnetic. These include hip and knee replacements; plates, screws, and rods used to treat fractures; and cavity fillings. All of these metal implants can distort the MRI image if near the part of the body being scanned, but they will usually not cause problems to the equipment."

Titanium is not a conductor metal. The magnets in the MRI will do nothing to your implants. I have implants and was told this and that I would never set off a metal detector.

Any mettalic implant in the body is contraindication for MRI. In strong magnatic field of Magnatron, matallic body act as missile and can be fatal!!!!!
