I would say even though no one is there to hear him, he is probably still wrong - we men can be a little confused sometimes and our perception of right and wrong is a bit blurry

If a person is referring to an opinion a man or woman is not wrong.
If a person is making an observation, man or woman is not wrong.

If a person is talking about facts and is correct, man or woman is right.
If a person is talking about facts and is incorrect, man or woman is wrong.

Does it matter?

No he is not wrong. Because he never spoke. If the man never spoke he can never be wrong and if there is no one to hear him then he has done no wrong.
