I met a very cute girl the other day inside a store and I felt myself very shy when talking to her. At the end of our chatting as I was leaving I had wanted to ask for her number, but felt shy and just pulled out my business card and gave it to her and told her that I'd like for her to keep in touch. I think I was afraid of the rejection if she had said "no" when I asked for her number so I gave her mine.
I'm curious as to what girls think when guys give out their phone number instead of asking for yours? Does a girl know a guy is really interested when he does this or do they think he isn't as interested? Also, does it appear "weak" to a girl if a guy gives out his number instead of asking for hers? One more question: if a guy gives a girl his number and she doesn't call, can a guy safely assume that the girl isn't interested or has a boyfriend? Will a girl ALWAYS call a guy if she is really interested in him?

Well honestly I think it is really cute when a guy gives you their #. At least you know if she is interested, because if she is she will call you. Most girls(myself included) think it is adorable when a guy is shy around them.

My opinion on this topic is, be brave and follow your heart. I admire the fact that even though you felt shy, you still gave the very cute girl your business card. If she doesn't call you, it's her loss, right? There are many other cute girls out there. If you got her number instead, who knows she could have given you the wrong one?

WOW. ok. personally, I prefer to get a guy's number than give mine...it doesn't seem weak, and I don't mind calling guys. Next, if she will give it to you, get her number or e-mail address (I have no problem with e-mail). she could be very busy, and she'll tell you if she has a boyfriend. I would call a guy if I'm interested, but she could be shy too. Next time, ask for her e-mail if that's more comfortable for you. Oh, and if a guy gives me his number, I think that he's fairly interested, but not enough to get my number.

I know for me personallly that I love when guys give their number, then I have the option of calling them. However, if I am not interested, I will tell them "thanks, but no thanks". I am honest about that stuff. If I have taken the number from them I will call them at least once and see how the convo goes. It is not weak to give your number, it shows that you are confident in yourself and that is something most women just love. I think that if she doesn't call you can assume that she isn't available or she is not interested. Good Luck

If a guy give me his number then i am interested ill give him my number if im not ill just keep the number and think what the guy wants to me? I call i say:::: I it's me (my name) what did you want for giving me your number? I'll simply ask that. After answering his question it's finish its easy you know!!

well, I think it is cute when a guy is shy around me. I am sure she knew u were interested because u gave her ur fone # u don't need to ask for hers, she will call u. we are just very busy most of the time so just be patient.
