Let's make the unlikely assumption that there is
one of the world's religions that is "the right one".
And further, let's make the impossible assumption
that you knew for sure one of them was right. This
knowledge would be totally useless, because you
have no way of picking out that one right one from
all the hundreds that exist. They all claim the same
authority and there is no way to know whether the
claim is true or not.
Actually, of course, there is essentially no likelihood that any religion is correct. They are
fairy stories from the childhood of humanity. If
humans manage to remain in existence long enough they may eventually grow up. Belief in
a god or gods, to me, is in the same category as
belief in the tooth fairy or the easter bunny.

Islam is. It is a religion of peace and mercy to all nations and tribes. It is not sent down for a specific group of people or nation but rather to the whole world. It is the culmination of the teachings of all the patriarchs and prophets of Jewish and Christian tradition which includes Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus.
It the ultimate monotheistic religion. It does not give divine attributes to human or anything else other than the Almighty God which instead of being described physically, is described abstractly so as not to associate Him with His creation.
The Almighty Creator we call Allah, is given the most beautiful names so that we can remember him through His qualities instead of His appearance. That's why our place of worship is empty of any idols, because God is a spirit, so we worship in spirit, not just physically. In fact, anything good that we do, if we do it in Allah's name, will be considered a form of worship and we will be rewarded accordingly.

complete lack of religion was and is the answer for me.
Atheist.
Atheism is not a religion as many believe. It's just means non-theism and describes anyone who recognizes the fact that there is no evidence to prove the existence of any supernatural higher power, and therefore there isn't one. It's not like there's an organized group of atheist "churches". Also atheism is not recognized as a religion by the U.S. government.
There is a group known as american atheists that defends atheist civil liberties. http://www.atheists.org and some other groups.

If you believe in what the bible says all you have to do is observe
all those religions around you and the one that obeys God advice
is the right one.
I will tell you what to look for.
If the bible says that all Jesus followers shall love each other.
are they killing other people then that is not the right religion.
If the Bible says that you need to learn about God and His son Jesus.
the only place to learn about them is the Bible.
now: Was Jesus rich? no!
was he after some political position? no!
I'm a Jehovah's witness and I'm convinced that the only religion in the world that teaches and do what God wants us to do. is this.
I'm not saying we are perfect ,no! but we try to do things as Jesus did:
learn first then tech others Mathew 28:19, 20

Faith in Jesus Christ will give you eternal life. If you would like to be forgiven for the wrongs that you have done, and have eternal happiness in Heaven, Christ is the way. He loved you so much that he died for you.
