Do you require a certain level? Do you need to answer a lot? Ask a lot? It seems there are popular people in this section and unpopular ones. People that ask a lot and people that don't... what determines fan club status?

Everything you mentioned plays a part. It apparently also requires dedicated participation on a regular basis.
I personally don't ask many questions because of the point junkies who just waste my time, but asking questions of substance that don't require too much research seem to be popular. People seem to respond more to offering 'opinions' more than factual information.
So as far as what determines fan club status, again I say what you mentioned is part of it all....that and patience to sit here and participate.

You can get a free 360 page here on yahoo. If your questions are interesting enough, people like me will go check out your previous questions and answers and maybe view your profile. If you want a lot of people to check you out here, you will have to be interesting or entertaining to get noticed. Just make sure you aren't getting attention for the wrong reasons like profanity or just being annoying.

I'm not here for any type of fan club status--- I just answer questions in my free time b/c I find it entertaining and sometimes helpful.
