learn about their beliefs then challenge them

It's really rather easy. Put their beliefs on display. When they start preaching, just step in and explain the fallacies of what they're saying. When they retort, do it again.

It will become easily apparent to anyone listening that the missionary is using circular arguments that make no sense, while the nonbeliever is simply stating facts, that refute the missionary's irrational beliefs.

If there's no one there to shine the light on their circular arguments, they can be very persuasive (on the weak minded). All you have to do is state the truth. They can't defend against that.

You shouldn't stand in the way of another persons spiritual growth. If they want t o hear what the missionaries have to say that is their right. If they choose to convert that is also their right , as well as their personal business.

Point out to the proselytizers that people who are ignorant of "sin" and the "Word of God" do not go to hell. It is only these missionaries trying to "enlighten" these poor people that puts their souls in danger. Say it nice and loud to make your point so that the converts-to-be can hear you too. In this case, ignorance is truly bliss.

Talk to the people they are converting. If they are happy and convinced with their choice, then you should do absolutely nothing. If you think the missionaries are harming people, then you should contrast it thru dialogue; bring your own views and reasons.

honestly you shouldnt do anything to prevent it. if people aroudn you want to be a certain religion you shouldnt have a say so in stopping them. however if they are being preacehd at by christians or mormons or whatever then preach a lil of what you think. open mindedness perhaps, put holes in the religion. (doesnt sound very nice but i think people get smarter by asking questions then by blind faith)

It is highly inappropriate of you to do anything to interfere with other peoples' religious choices. If they want to be converted or not, that is THEIR BUSINESS. Perhaps if you took a greater interest in doing something with your own life, you wouldn't have so much free time to be a nosy neighbor butting in on your neighbors' lives. As Dr. Phil often says, "Get Real."

Stage some miracles that only the traditional gods of your people could accept credit for. Or moveing would be a good idea, if that doesn't work.

Paul in Damascus did what you want to do and he ended by being a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing you can do to stop them. If you take them to prison far away from you, they will pray there and God will operate miracles in the lives of people around you.

Would you like to be censored? Well, if you wouldn't like it then don't try and censor others.
There is something called freedom of speech which, we ALL have the right to practice.
With that freedom there comes things we like and things we don't like. If you don't like what's being said then ignore it and go on but you don't have the right to shut people up.

I may not like what someone says but I defend their right to say it.

Unfortunately, there probably is nothing you can do. People who feel compelled to "witness" and "share God's word" or, worse yet, physically harm people who don't buy into their religious delusions are rarely open to leaving people alone and shutting up about it all.
