If you really want my advice... Enjoy Vegas for the experience, but don't worry too much about gambling.

It sounds to me as if you have never gambled in your life, or at least if you did, you have no clue about what you're doing.

So it really doesn't matter what you do, as long as you know you're likely to lose. Why not set aside a fixed amount for gambling each day, and once it's gone, enjoy everything else Vegas has to offer?

Let It Ride is a fun card game. You stake three bets from $5 each. The best bit is, you get to take as much as two of those bets back if you're dealt a terrible hand. The key is to make a pair of tens or better. You are dealt three cards face down, so look at your cards and if you don't have a pair of tens, ask for one bet back. Next the dealer will turn over one of his two hidden cards. Again, if you don't have a pair of tens or better, take back the second bet.

The only bet that you will lose if you don't make 10s or higher is the last bet. This way, your $ can last a lot longer. Each hand takes two or three minutes. You can order some drinks (don't forget to tip the waitress at least a buck a pop! Nothing's really free), chat to the table and make friends. It's a much more relaxed form of gambling than Blackjack.

In Blackjack, there are serious players who know the 'right' way to play. If you ARE playing Blackjack, avoid the seat on the far left -- you will be last to play before the dealer, and if you make the 'wrong' move the entire table will be pissed at you.

There are fantastic rollercoasters, some incredible tourist attractions (a chocolate factory and the world's biggest slot car circuit, to name just a couple) and don't eat junk, just because it's cheap. Instead of losing $100 on the tables, take it to Andre's restaurant (in the Monte Carlo hotel -- you'll need to book because it's awesome). Treat yourself to one of the best meals you'll ever experience, period.

For those on a budget, the Bellagio breakfast buffet is all you can eat. Stuff yourself silly.

Most of all, have fun. Don't get hung up on gambling just because you're in LV. There's so much more there!

All games in a Casino are set to benefit the Casino. I play Blackjack and have found that playing a six deck deal has been payable just by counting the A's. 24 total A's can be easily tracked. I usually get my butt whipped if I play a single deck Blackjack table. I also bet a little higher on a new shuffle due to the large # of 10's and A's available. Pick up a Poker probability players card. It shows what you should do under given circumstances at the table. No need to memorize it, you can use it at the table. Find a friendly dealer, who is willing to help you. Let them know you are a beginner. At Blackjack, always remember, you are not trying to get as close to 21 as you can, you are strictly trying to beat the dealer, and only the dealer. The other player's hands mean nothing. Best of luck

In theory, you can "beat the house" playing Black Jack. But I wouldn't advise it. Black Jack became the most successful table game in history once word got out that it could be beaten. "Counting Cards" takes dedication, determination, inhuman concentration, and enough of a bankroll to overcome your eventual, inevitable losing streak.

VERY few people actually win in the long run playing Black Jack. Those that claim to are 98% doing some creative accounting. They will write off the occasional loss with excuses such as "I was drunk" or "I was tired." In total, they probably broke even or even took a small loss.

That being said, you can still have fun in a casino. If you want to play Black Jack, learn basic strategy and stick to the rules religiously. Or play craps and only play "pass", "don't pass", "come", and "don't come". But this kind of thing can become boring fairly quickly.

The winning attitude to take when you play this, or almost any casino game, is to enjoy the free drinks and entertainment and expect to pay for it over the long run.

My advice is forget trying to beat the game and concentrate on controlling your losses. And NEVER lose more than you'd be willing to spend on an expensive night out.

Tricks, I'm sorry there are no tricks. You go in with cash and come out drunk and without cash, it is a very simple concept. You should have fun when you come to Vegas, but be pre-paired to lose your money. Every single game with the exception of poker, has a built in house advantage. Their are very few who make good money off of sports betting, poker, or blackjack. Just remember to have fun and don't spend more then you can afford to.

Get blackjack every time. That would be a good trick.

Go sightseeing. You won't lose a penny gambling. The world of Coke is nice. So is M&M world.

If you must gamble then go to Paris. It is a nice casino to lose money at.

All over LasVegas there are guys selling tricks on the sidewalks. They pass out cards with all the information. You don't have to look for them they are all over.

Go to the gift shop and purchase the basic strategy card for blackjack. You can use it at the table, but I do not recommend it. Study it. It does work.
