vet will only endorse pet plan, but wondered if any supermarket pet insurance or any others are just as good? if so, how come they are so much cheaper? are there any hidden clauses, or things they won't cover? cat is healthy and spends a lot of time outdoors, and has been chipped.

you can look on the internet for Cat Insurance. Be careful when choosing as some companies only pay for a condition up to a year and some have high excesses on them. i insured mine with AXA for £6 per cat (i have 3) on the net look up healthy pet insurance. excess is £50 and I chose gold cover for max £5000 per condiiton.

Heard Tesco is good. Better get her insured fairly soon as she's getting on and it will start to get dearer in a couple of years.

I have pet insurance for my puppy with RBS (as hubby works for them) and they are good. I would try Marks and Spencer. I have only heard good stuff about them.
