How can I go out and have a few drinks and not get a headache. I am not talking about hangovers. The headache occurs within an hour after I stop drinking.

are you drinking enough water??.. this could be a sign of dehydration...i used to have that problem, and i hardly drink any water, i was told by a friend that alcohol dehydrates you and for the headache to go away is to drink as much water as you can after drinking beer, this will get you sober and the headache gone!!

You may have developed an allergy to something in the drink. You can try different brands or different types of liquor, or just sit back and think how lucky you are that you're not dependent on it. You'll have a lot more cash in your pocket.

it is a hangover. it takes 1-2 hours to burn off every drink you have. you're getting an instant hangover by stopping at one drink. my advice is either to continue drinking to your 4th or 5th beer (and get the hangover the next morning) or to not drink at all.

Cut back or try a different type of beer or switch to a mixed drink.

Without knowing your physical history, we can only guess that you have either a new slower matabolism or have developed an allergy to something in the beer.

Any change is a signal flare for you to consult your doctor. NOW.

let's talk in mathematics terms: one cup of alcohol starts to affect one hour later. one cup equals one hour. it's perfectly normal to feel dizzy like you did. try to decrease the quantity of your drinking. this way you'll feel better... good luck! (if you don't want to, you could always mix your alcohol with orange juice). my piece of advice: try white russion!
