Fish don't have eyelids, only transparent membranes - the longer fish are dead, the murkier the membranes become. So, if you want to but fresh fish for dinner, check to see that their eyes are bright and shiny!
Fish don't have eyelids because they don't need to protect their eyes from dust and wind etc.

1) No eyelids.
2) Blinking moisturizes the eye. In the water, there is no need for it.
3) Kids ask great questions. They are actually natural scientists, until we beat it out of them. She's learning about her world. Encourage that. And don't be afraid to use search engines for your answers. You can always translate to her level, or come here for more help. It's a GOOD THING!

Most things die with their eyes open, especially if it's sudden.
The brain will still function for a short time after death, but eyelids serve only to clean the eyeballs. So as it is no longer an important function the brain doesn't need to activate that command.
What about all those films when someone dies they close their eyelids.

They don't have any eye lids...Well tell her they don't have any eye lids because they were born that way. Then she might ask u why again. If she does tell her because every one and everything is created differently. If she ask why again tell her, she has reached her limit of "ask mommy a question" limit for today.

Fish don't blink. I'm not even sure they have eyelids to blink with. If the do have eyelids, they are clear. The reason humans blink is to keep the eyeball moist. Fish have no need for this, seeing as how they live underwater.

it's because they don't have lids. actually they don't need for that. coz there no dust and they are inside of the water which means their eyes don't need washing or getting wet.
but people have to keep their eyes wet to they have lids.
just imagine, HOW WOULD YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES IF YOU DON'T HAVE LIDS?
