Depends how much you like her, really. I dont mind when guys call me the next day, cause then I know that they are really interested in me. Basically just talk about the night that you had when you met her. Either about the crowd music or drinks or wahtever was happening when you met. Then ask her about her weekend, and what she's got planned for the week. Thats your opportunity to ask her out on a date either druring the week or the next weekend. Try to ask her more general questions, cause girls usually can talk alot on the phone about themselves or what not. Just roll with it, it'll be easier then you think, you shouldn't put that much pressure on it...its just a phone call. And I would phone and talk with her some more before you text

all depends if u just kinda like her then the next day. But if u really like her and she seems real interested in u then wait like 3 days call on the 3rd or 4th day make her wait. u may come off as uninterested in her but this will make her VERY interested in u cause girls are used to guys falling all over them so the instant one doesnt they become curious and want to know why. alright to prove my point next time ur at a party or something find the hottest girl in ur mind and dont talk to her at all but make it a point that u dont even think she is there like talk to her friend right next to her without even looking over at her or saying one word to her half way through the night or so she will be soft putty in ur hand. and by that time it wont matter what u talk about but dont just call to talk make sure u get a time place and day out of the call or else its pointless

Well, if you're obsessed and want her to know, same day you got the number, in the evening. But to be more reasonable, I suggest calling the next day. She's probably waiting and anxious for your call, and if you wait to long she might be burned out about you.
Also, um... start w/ hi, how are you, etc. And don't forget to end in bye. She'll probably expect you to start in conversation, and I don't know what topics would apply or be of interest to the two of you. you have to figure that out. good luck.

The next day. If you wait any longer shes gonna think that u will never call and start talking badly about u to her friends before you even get started.

It depends on the situation. But call her too soon and your a psycho, too late and you don't care enough.
The next day is a good rule of thumb, especially out here in So-Cal where everyone is so flakey and their plans change from moment to moment.

When she gives you the number ask her when do she want you to call her. She might really like you and want to talk to you that night. Sometimes girls think you have someone when it takes you a while to call.

Give it at least 24 hours. You don't want to make yourself too available, cause that will scare her off. Don't wait longer than 2 days, cause she'll get tired of waiting. You have a small window of opportunity there.
