Need advice urgently best way to emigrate to New Zealand, searched on internet & got agencies who will help but had so many different answers from them like "Yes he is eligible 110 points", "possibly with proper references", "no hes not because hes not got a degree", some dont even know age limits for entry. All seem to want thousands of £s up front to do us a service with no guarantee of even getting selected to go. how do I know if I am getting ripped off. As far as I can see, if we apply ourselves we have to pay £525 just to see if we are eligible. Husband is 53 so time is short. I need urgent help to get me started PLEASE

We are also considering a move to NZ and we are going to an expo in Manchester in October....here is a link to it:
http://www.expo-newzealand.com/

If you check it out you will find a link to the NZ Immigration site and they have loads of info there. Your husband has a few years left yet so don't start panicking just yet!... you have to have your application in at least 3 months before your 56 birthday, that is something my husband has seriously looked into as he is now 55.

Good Luck!

I used to live in NZ but i was born in the uk, From wot I remember It was a real pain in the *** for my parents. I think his age might be a bit of a problem tho. If you guys are planning to go live in Auckland make sure you have got plenty of money coz most house prices have gone up really high the past few years, I would say Aussie would be a better place to live, more money, nicer weather.

The best webiste I found as a fellow wannabe migrant was www.immigration.govt.nz - it gives you a list of skills that are urgently needed in New Zealand - (are either of you farmers by any chance?) and what you need to get in.

Good luck
