I commonly see 850 as the limit on credit score advertisements and usually either 450 or 350 as the minimum. But could it goes well below 100 or even above 1,000?

The mininum is 300 and the maximum is 850, but you have to keep in mind that the three different credit scoring bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax) use slightly different formulas...all based on Fair Isaac Corp.'s FICO scores.

There is supposed to be a new credit scoring method called VantageScore coming soon that is supposed to unify everyone.
