Something you said stood out to me, how your daughter has an accident but doesn't even know she did. It could be some sort of sensory issue or other Neurological problem, but I don't know for sure. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy, and there are times when CP effects a person's bladder control. With CP being a Neurological condition, I've read about other conditions doing the same thing (lacking the sensation to go). You might want to ask the Neurologist about that. Does your daughter have other sensory issues; like oral aversions, sensitive to loud noises, defensive tactile habits (like disliking the feel of certain things)? I'm sorry that I didn't have a concrete answer for you. If you are looking for support, you might want to join the group www.specialparent.org It's an online support group for parents of children with special needs and disabilities. GOOD LUCK!

It's interesting that she is bowel trained before bladder trained... most children are the other way around. What type of seizures does she have? Are they staring, petit mal or grand mal? That can all have an influence on potty training. She is still young too, especially with the seizures. Just keep working on it! If she is at home with you, try having her wear underware during the day so that she can truly feel the wetness. I know... the first few weeks will be lots of laundry, but the results will be worth it. Just keep trying!
