Being a virgin is nothing to be ashamed of. In this time with all the diseases around it is safe to stay a virgin. Save yourself for when u get married, that is the best..

There is nothing wrong with waiting. With boys, giving advice is different because there is that double standard. You still have to worry about the things that girls do when they decide to have sex, you can get an STD, you can't get pregnant but you can get your partner pregnant. It isn't a bad thing to wait. It could mean that there hasn't been any chances yet, or that you haven't found the right girl, which in this day and age, is seldom and few. There are some good ones still out there, lol, I was one. But if you feel that you are ready, there is no one stopping you. If you aren't, that is perfectly fine too. Don't beat your self up over it. Oh, and don't listen to those guys that say, oh, I have had many girls...they are probably lying anyway, were you there to see it? NO? Then they were probably blowing a lot of hot air. When you are ready, use a condom and don't do it in a backseat if you have a choice. That is never comfortable, trust me. Just be yourself, it is high school, this is where there are a lot of new experiances, even sexual ones...but don't give in because of peer pressure. It will be a bad first time....

I dont think thats a bad thing at all. if fact congrats! there is no need to rush into something that you really cant fully understand. myself at 16 i could not have been having sex and such, i was not ready for such a thing. not to sound like a mother (cuz i am only 21 and i am not lol) but kids today jump into sex too early, i think you and your friend should be proud that you do not give in to peer presure and that when u find the person whos right then u can take that step with them. i dont think u should be embarraseed at all. i didnt do anything with another guy until i was 19 and i didnt feel bad about it, i just was not ready

hello, my daughter is 19 and still a virgin. She is in law school right now and she has told me she doesn't have time for a boyfriend. She has lots of friends and they go out but when she tells the guy that she is a virgin and wants to wait until marriage most of them have thought it was cool. I think more teens are actually starting to wait now adays. My son just turned 15 and he is waiting too. He has a gf and she is also waiting.

Not a bad thing at all, neither should it be embarrassing. When you will be older and ready to settle down, the girl you will choose will be especially happy that you waited for her and didn't just let yourself go to some random fling.

OMG... 16 is fine. You have nothing to worry about. Geeze.. Sex is not that important. Who cares if you have or havent. I have girlfriends that didnt lose theirs till they were 18-25. Some people just have more respect for themselves than others. You two have alot of respect for yourself and dont let any moron tell you different.

If you do it, protect yourself. But if you don't then who cares. I have some friends who are 23 and still virgins. This dude wants to wait till he's married. I mean I respect it if it's his choice. It's not mine but that doesn't matter. If anyone makes fun of you slap them.

I was 19 when i first did the horizontal tango.
At 16 you should be out with the boys playing sports and poking dead things man!!
Girls are no fun till there almost 20 anyways.
:D

Sex is pleasurable but has alot of responsibility with it..physically, mentally, emotionally, morally....keep it simple no need to put all this responsibility on you until your wiling to deal with the consequence of these actions..there is nothing embarrassing about waiting for the right time.
