Talking in your sleep is a tricky business. Don't assume, however, that anything you say is true or even makes sense. I have been a sleepwalker and sleeptalker all of my life, and if even 1% of the things I said were true or even made sense I'd be amazed!

If you are worried about revealing some deep dark truth, don't do anything naughty!

Strange .... most likely yes you will answer the right question but only if you cooperate with the ask-er ...

My sister is a HUGE sleep talker, but if we ask her any question she always kinda says a mumbled ... yes, no, go away .... then she will continue talking about whatever the topic was she had before ...

I think it will probably depend on who you are, why are you afraid of answering certain questions? My suggestion is if they ask you something then tell you about it in the morning tell them that they dont know what there talking about

It doesn't matter if you are answering truthfully or not...your sleeping and the person that is asking the questions can not possibly know if you are telling the truth or not because you are sleeping...just as they won't know when your awake if you are telling the truth...but it would be best to always tell the truth so your conscience is clean.

I'm not sure about this one. I just think it depends on the person. I'm not spontaneous sleep talker, but if someone asks me a question, I always say no. I guess that's cause I've never gotten enough sleep and don't want to wake up. LOL.

i too do talk in my sleep
and my parents and friends tend to ask me serious questions that they think that i would lie about if i was awake
i always tell the truth when i am sleeping
i cant remember most of the time what i said, so they know that they have a tool over me to finding out things
i have always tried ways to get out of this stigma; but i cant find a way

Well, you are dreaming, so when they are talking with you...it fits into your dreams.
I had a friend that wored the 4am shift at a fast food drive thru. When you would talk to her, she would say things like..."Sure would like cheese on that?" or when her sister went in there because she forgot to empty the trash can before she went to bed, she told her sister "Let me just bag this order and I will get the keys to the back door." (They locked the door leading to the dumpster.)
So, I say it goes along with whatever you are dreaming!

Probaby and probably not. Chances are it won't always be right because you are in your sleep, you are not really conscious of what is happening around or to you. But, if your subconscious is very honest you will always tell the truth.

I think its cute that you talk in your sleep!...keep up the good work!....smile!

When I talk in my sleep, I will give the answer that will cause the person asking me questions to go away and stop bothering me. I have lied many times and didn't even know it.

Okay first, People shouldn't ask you questions in your sleep...and two it's not a big deal just tell them that when you're sleeping you're talking i your sleep ...and to understand that.

and there isn't really anything that doctor's or medicine can do it's just a normal part of life like brushing your teeth ....you'll grow out of it!

Good luck!
