I make spaghetti/tomato sauce from scratch every year with fresh vegetables from my garden. It is usually pretty thin & then I typically add a can of tomato paste (store bought) to thicken the sauce. Any other suggestions for thickening sauce?

I also use canned tomato paste most of the time, but just long and slow cooking with help thicken it, as will a bit of asiago or parmegiano-reggiano cheese.

Put some meat in the sause-Ground beef/meatballs/sausage-simmer it with the lid off-will thicken by itself-sauce will reduce-very rich flavor

You can just slow cook for a much longer time to boil off the excess moisture until you get the consistency of thickness that you desire.Make sure you keep stirring so it doesn't burn.

i usually add 2 cans of tomato paste to my sauce...it does the trick. also, you might want to seed some of the tomatoes..that will cut back on the amount juice you are getting. ;-)
