I am sorry you have this problem with your mom. Unfortunately, you cannot get your mom to stop drinking. She has to decide for herself that she has a problem and that she needs to do something about it.

However, these links may help you. See if there is an AlAteen group in your area. Take care of yourself.

Be careful. She may be an alcoholic. And even if you isn't, if you approach this the wrong way she may drink more, not less. Being reprimanded by your daughter can't be easy to take. Maybe she has a friend you could talk to about the problem and how to handle it. Or if your dad is around, talk to him. Whatever you do, remember she doesn't know how she looks, and would be embarrassed if she really did. Try encouraging and supportive to start. Have a heart to heart. Then if that doesn't work, try more of a tough love tactic.
Remember, everyone is different and nobody knows your family like you do-the advice you get here may or may not help as we cannot know everything that is going on or contributing to her drinking.
Oh, I don't know how old you are, or if you are drinking yet or not, but remember when YOU drink what SHE looks like when she's drunk. If you don't want to be viewed the same way, it's very sobering and may keep you from drinking too much or too often.
I would also check out some alcoholic treatment websites like AA-it may have ideas on how to deal with this.

Drinking is a very bad habit. Now the best way to stop your mother from drinking is to show her how she really acts when she is drunk. Record her behaviour on a cam and show it her the next daty or take photos of her when she is drunk. Research the web and show her all the diseases related with alcholic obsession. Have a talk with a doctor with her. Tyr talking with her and if she still doesn't listen well then sorry no one can help her.!!!

Have you ever tried going up to her and saying, "Mom, can you lay of the twenty beers a day kinda thing?" Okay maybe not like that, but do you catch my drift? Talking is the best way to solve any serious situation. Try asking your mother to quit drinking so many beers first. If that doesn't work, I would suggest... um... well, would you suggest moving out? How about living with your own father? It's hard to think of anything! I don't think it's a good idea to hide her money or hide her beer. So, just try to plain out ask her," Mom, please stop drinking so much beer."

Try to talk to her when she is sober and tell her that you don't like her when she is doing like that (drinking and than as she is drunk), try to ask her why she has this necessity for drinking, is something wrong, offer her your help try to make her feel that has someone to rely on (it's you) and that is why she does not need so much drinks as she thinks to. As mum she has a responsibility to not make you feel as bad as you feel when she is drunk. Try to make her realize (not in a direct way because she may feel offended) throughout what you are going through when she is acting as she is and that is how she will soon realize that she is not doing something right if her daughter suffers much more as she is.

How old are you?

You cannot get another person to stop drinking. There is a group called Al-Anon that can support you but, in truth, until she recognizes that this destructive behavior is worth giving up not much will change.

If you can gather together with her friends and family members, you can perform an intervention. This is difficult but it presents a mirror to the addict and gives them an ultimatum.

If you have access to counseling, seek it. This is not about you but it is impossible to live with an addict without having an impact on your choices and self esteem.

Good luck.

YOU cannot get your mom to quit or reduce her drinking. Only she can do that. But, you can tell her how it makes you feel, the affect it has one your home life, etc. Talk to her when she is sober and not busy doing something. Let her know you need some time to discuss something important and then tell her how concerned you are for her and your family.

the next time she goes on a binge if you can video tape that nut and when she's clearheaded show it to her. if that doesn't help then suggest she has a problem that is becoming a problem for you as well. my mother at one time drank and was just so out of control that she'd pee in the bed and when I'd sleep with her she would wet me also,so i know what you're going thru.the sad reality is there isn't much you can do.try getting some outside interference. good luck

I know it is hard but the truth is she will not stop until SHE is ready and even then she will find it a struggle. I know thats proberly not what you wanted to hear but it's the truth. Doe's she know how you feel? Doe's she accept she has a drink problem? Admitting having a problem is always the first step to help.
