I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked. "Because it's been laying outside, you don't know where it's been, At this point, my daughter looked at me with total

admiration and asked, "Wow! How do you know all this stuff?" "Uh," ...I was thinking quickly, "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you

be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. "Oh...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy." "Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face and joy in my heart.

to all who think I've given my child a bad impression on what a dad is,,, this is not a true story, or at least not mine anyway, it was an email I received. I guess I should have made that clear from the get go. I think fathers are great, my 4 sons have the best one out there.

How wonderful to implant in her mind what an imbecile her father is. You should feel so proud, she's only 4 and already erroneously judging males to be incompetent and unable to be good parents. Way to go!

As far as "Mommy" tests go, you just failed. Give your kid back.

very cute story, but was it best for your child? Are you now prepared to always be able to answer every question she ever has? Do you realize she'll think less of her Dad at some point? had I been In a similar situation, I would have jumped on the chance to explain all about school and how important it is. And I hope she doesn't ever ask any other Mom about this test 'cause then she'll think you're a liar too. PS And your question was? PPS Shouldn't you have told her not to put it her mouth because it was dirty? Picture this. She's out playing and a feather falls off a bird right in front of her. She obviously knows where it was, it was on the bird. It wasn't just laying on the ground, so she's going to figure there's no problem putting this one in her mouth.

Cute story.

On the other side is what my children have termed "Daddy Magic." For example, knowing that if a child rejects a cookie for some reason, you can turn around and a moment later hand them the same cookie and it will be fine the second time...

Aloha

What's your question?

Cute story, but I don't think it's yours. I know I have read this about two or three other times in magazines from people claiming it to be their story. Nice try.

What exactly do you plan for your daughter to learn from this "lesson"?

that is soo funny. I just love little girls, they think of the craziest things ever. Some of these people need to relax a bit huh?? I am sure you daughter loves her Daddy, so relax and laugh with her, don't over react like some of these people. Good job raising a kid who thinks.

LOL. That became humorous. it really is one in each and every of mine: there have been 3 moms with their babies in a treatment workplace. The therapist went as a lot because the first mom and stated, "you're enthusiastic about sweet it truly is why you named your daughter sweet" Then he went to the subsequent mom and stated, "you're enthusiastic about telephones so that you named your son Fido" earlier the therapist might want to flow to the perfect mom, she whispered to her son, "Come on D!

You could have given her a proper answer which will be a good lesson for her. As what I understand your child got a wrong notion over her daddy or she got a good joke in her age,a pretty good sense of humor huh!

That put a great big smile on my face. Cute!

I have always been fascinated that my son would eat something off the floor that is sticky and dirty but he won't eat vegetables...

Very cute, and I have to admit I chuckled, but I do kind of agree with Bert. As the mother of two boys, it disturbs me to see girls wearing shirts that proclaim "boys suck" or "boys are stupid"!

My husband is more patient and understanding with my kids than I am, and I hope they learn his ways more than mine. Although he does tend to be lax in the germ and nutritional area!!
