Visualize yourself being comfortable on your first date, speaking easily and laughing freely. If you hold this vision long enough, your subconscious mind, which doesn't know the difference between what's real or imagined will step in and influence your behavior so that it will be so. Another trick to staying relaxed during the date is to hold an image of yourself eating dinner in a very comfortable situation such as your parent's house.

Alcohol doesn't do it either. take easy, a long soothing bath, spend some time working on how you want to look. remember that what you are feeling they are feeling just the same.
Take a deep breath and go for it, once you are talking all those feelings will disappear
(you missed the 'o' in alcoholic)

relationship can get as actual as you enable it to get. some human beings do no longer make out on dates, yet choose just to kiss and carry palms. different persons 'flow each and each of how'. it in basic terms relies upon on how a techniques you go with it to flow.

take deep breaths and imagine breathing out all of your nerves each time you exhale. if you start getting nervous, just start the breathing again.
also, you could write down all the reasons that you would be a good person to date. (you have steady job, you're nice, you're a gentleman, etc...)
good luck!

Breathe. Just relax, do something that you know relaxes you and be prepared to talk about stuff... So think of some things that you are relatively familiar with that you can talk about. Good luck.
