I'm more concerned on the caffeine in them than the sugar... the sugar content is about the same as any "candy" fruit juice (twisters, etc.) that are out there. Ban the caffeine, keep the sugar is what I think.

In the land of ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, it is absolutely criminal to allow MNCs who sell us a 50 paisa (cost of production) insecticide infested artificially aerated zero nutrient calorie and chemical colour containing drink for ten bucks, to cater for profits, brain washing advertising, and the search for further markets of gullible guzzlers.
WE should be selling them coconut water, nimbu pani, and neera instead. Not to mention the coloured boiled hot water offered in kerala, himalayan spring water, etc.
Up with the ban, throw these crapulous fistulas, these colonic cancer creating cheats out!

it'd be crazy if there wasnt one [a ban, i mean]!!! what with the high pesticide levels that have been found in pepsi and coke...
indians need to get over the disgusting taste of soft drinks and move on to healthier options like fruit smoothies or nimbu paani or naarayal [sp?] paani.. or just plain old WATER!!!!!!!!
