Is he a Jehovah's Witness? Jehovah's Witnesses believe the way you described. They disagree with mainstream Christianity on the Trinity and the deity of Jesus, as well as other things.

To be Christian means to beleive in the teachings of Christ and to follow his ways. Christ spoke about His Father. He also spoke about The Comforter (The Holy Spirit). Hence, the concept of Christianity is steeped in The Trinity, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
However, religious doctrines have an important part to play in everyone's life. If your friend was taught a different doctrine from the one that most people are familiar with, you would have to help him out by pointing out the passages that mentioned or described the Trinity (John 3:16) amongst others. Be patient because it is not easy to cast aside one's faith. So help him and guide him but do not try to force your beleifs on him.
Hope it helps... Cheers.

It's kinda an individual person thing.
I've met people like that too who are christian and very much believe in Jesus, but dont want to believe in certain parts of the Bible
I'm christian and the best way I can describe the trinity is it's like a bicycle or any other multi part machine. The bicycle has wheels, pedals, handle bars ect. but it's still just on bicycle. God is the same way, he has three parts (Father,Son, and Holy spirit) but He's still one God.
From the way you described him it sounds like he's not very strong spiritually and needs some more wisdom and understanding
Are you christian. Becuase to say that he does'nt believe Jesus was sacrificed sounds like he was just saying he was christian for you.
Going to church is not a good marker of how strong a person spiritual life is. Church is just a tool to help us find our own spiritual relationship with God. The better indicator is how oft does he pray and who does he pray to? Cuase someone that doesnt believe in th Father, son, or holyspirt, sounds like someone that doesnt really believe in God.
Again maybe he does believe in God but lacks some understanding. Maybe you and he should read the Bible together and together decide if ya'll understand, and if you believe it's true.
John 3:16-For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

As in the Muslim faith there are different sects or groups or divisions, however you want to call it !
In Christianity there are too many different belief systems and we must apologize to you, because it is very wrong and unfortunate and we are failing to bring people the true message of Jesus. And yes Jesus was sacrificed for all men and women and there is a Father and a Son and a Holy Spirit !
This is the New Testament church or it is supposed to be. And you can find out for your self by just asking God if this is true and you dont need to listen to all these lies and then you can take the true message back to your boyfriend and you can teach him something because he doesn't know who God is yet !

God is the Holy Father, Jesus Christ is his son, and they have the power of the Holy Ghost which is given to us upon baptism. To say the father and the son are one is to say they are united as one in their efforts.
I never knew until a few years ago that there were Christians who did not believe in the Holy Trinity. I don't believe the Bible supports their theory. I believe the Bible supports that there is Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, and the spirit of the Holy Ghost.

Within Christianity, as well as within other religions, there are many different understandings and expressions of Truth. As you know there are many different ways of expression and understanding within the Muslim religion. It is so with Christianity.
I think I understand your friend well. Jesus told us that he and the father are one. He also told us that we are one with him. If this is true then we are also one with God (the father). So we are all ONE. Jesus also told us that we would do greater things than he did. This is not the teaching of one who would be worshipped, but as one who wants each person to know and express the divinity that is uniquely theirs.
I hope you will spend some time and look at your friend directly and hear what he says rather than try to filter everything through your understanding of what you think a Christian might be. I would hope he would do the same for you.
Allah God is blessing you right now!

To believe in the Trinity goes against all of the teachings of Jesus, as well as the Bible. This is because the Trinity is a man-made doctrine that was drawn up several hundred years after Jesus. In this time period different interpretations of the Bible were causing serious debates among Christians. The various interpretations were, undoubtedly, due to human perversion of the original scriptures, poor preservation, and/or shoddy translations. One of the main things being questioned was the nature of God and Jesus. Was Jesus actually God, the son of God, or just a messenger? The Council of Nicea was formed in an attempt to settle this dispute, and the Nicea Creed (the Trinitarian doctrine) was subsequently hammered out.

The earliest Christians didn't believe in the trinity either. It was an idea that was put in place long after the bible was written. Your friend sounds like he has the same beliefs as the earliest Christians who felt that Jesus was sent by God, but not actually God himself.

There are A LOT of sects around...It´s just a matter of find out what sect is he from...Some of them have developed distorsions in many issues...God is a unit, but at the same time is a composition of 3 persons or manifestations: God father, Jesus, and the Holy spirit. How oe why do they interact and are presented like this...Is a mistery that God himself will solve at a proper time....No rush on this one.

Christianity can be what you make of it, I guess. (However, christianity IS based on 'Christ', Jesus coming as the messiah ... and dying for our sins... so he might not be practicing Christianity if he doesn't believe in that... it might just be a religion of some other name that also believes in one god...) If he doesn't want to believe that the trinity, he doesn't have to. He may not be right, but then again, no religion could possibly be 100 percent correct.
It is what you make of it. Little details shouldn't matter as much as how much GOD loves you and how he will forgive you and care for you no matter what. =]
