I was watching a program last night where Dawn French interviewed famous female comedians and nearly all of them said that in order to find a guy they had to try not to act funnier than him... is this true, are men put off by girls with a sense of humour??

I don't care if a girl is funnier than I am, as long as she laughs at my jokes too. If she finds me funny... keeper.

Quite the opposite, actually, I actually was attracted to my present girlfriend mainly coz she was a good joker/prankster, and we really had some fun times that way.For e.g we would pull pranks like changing the autocorrect feature on MS-Word to change 'the' into 'you suck', (with hilarious consequences when the teachers were explaining stuff etc etc)
And its a great way to bond.
I guess it ultimately depends on the guy's ego issues. If he doesn't feel insecure 'bout the woman making the jokes, it's alright!

I think a lot of guys feel quite intimidated by girls who have a sense of humour. Especially if they are quite forward with their comedy. I have quite an unusual sense of humour I have been told, and it certainly does make people around me a bit wary sometimes lol.

:)

Well it's cute sometimes I know (I hang out with guys) but if you overdo it it tends to get annoying just like it does with anyone. A funny remark is cute here and there but if you act like you're a stand-up comedian then that date is headed for trouble.

nicely there is different varieties of comedy, and different form of adult males. it certainly relies upon on the guy and what gets him giggling, yet a humorous female is defiantly a alleviation and quite clean, its advantageous to have a woman that isn't so obsessed on their seems and how their hair seems and if their makeups working and definitely takes time to crack a humorous tale, it exhibits convenience in the girl, and as quickly as returned, its advantageous to ascertain.

I think so, that way they always seem happy together, as opposed to being sad, would a guy stay with a sad person?
