Confetti is available in most card or party shops. However, an increasing amount of wedding venues don't like you using confetti, so it might be worth getting some rose petals (bio-degradable, and smell lovely), or some biodegradable confetti.
As to the tradition for buying presents - the general rule of thumb is, if you've been invited to the service, as well as the evening do, buy a present; if the evening do only, you don't have to. It depends how traditional the wedding's going to be.
As to the content of the present, get an idea of what they like from the wedding list. If you don't like anything on there, get something that you think they'd like. If they've been living together for a while, they won't necessarily need something practical (don't bother with the toaster!); it's nice to get something that they'll use / show / like, and each time they see it, they think of you. If you want to be alternative, buy them a goat in a third world country, or donate to a charity close to their heart. Think you can buy farm animals through Oxfam, or something like that.
Hope that helps - I know what you're going through, as I'm heading off to a wedding tomorrow. I live in Scotland, and the wedding's just outside London, so am flying to Heathrow. Have bought a gorgeous, unique vase as a present, and was planning to take it as hand luggage. Due to the increased security, I can no longer do that, as it's too large, and it's too delicate to post. Grrrr. Anyway, have fun at the wedding you're going to!

Hi any card shop should sell it look in the wedding card section it should be somewhere around there. If you have a Clintons Cards where you live then they will deffinatetly have confetti. The Tradition in buying presents is the bride and groom make a list of all the things they want, so you will need to look at the list, and the tradition is you buy them an item that is listed on the list. But if they have picked an expensive shop to get the item from which i know alot of people do, i would just get the same item but from a different shop if of course the gift is a little over priced and you know of a place you will get it cheaper. Im sure the bride and groom wont mind.

The couple will normally have a list of things that they would like to recieve from a designated store. You can work from this to be sure you are buying something they REALLY want. Just ask the couple for the wedding list.
As for confetti I cant think of a specific shop but there are lots of joke / birthday / card shops in London. One of them should be able to sort you out

Any good stationery, card shop will sell it. You can also buy it from ebayand wedding favour websites. But Can I suggest you find out if you can actually use it at the venue first, as many venues now do not allow ordinary confetti or rice as it is hard to clean up. Can I suggest you go green with vanishing confetti.(bubbles or ecofetti). The biodegradable confetti disappears when it gets wet so no clean up is necessary. *(You will def be able to use it at any venue) Have a great day. P.s bubbles look gorgeous on pictures

You buy presents for the bridal party. It doesn't have to be an expensive gift and they usually get the same item. The groom usually buys gifts for the groomsmen and the bride buys for the bridesmaids. It can be as simple as the jewelry provided for the wedding. You can google wedding confetti and see which store you can order it from on-line. God Bless you marriage!

Confetti, buy it from any ard shop for 99p a shot...
Wedding presents are a mine field...do not even try to be original or spontaneous about this in England. The bride will rip your ears off...
Find the wedding list and rigourously stick to it...Brides are absolutely nuts when it comes to things like this, I have seen tears over toasters before!!

Confetti can be found in card shops, or you can always make your own by cutting up differnet pieces of coloured paper. As for presents. The bride and groom normally have a gift list, ask them to see it. You'll find gifts they want and if someone has already bought something it'll be crossed off.

John Lewis, Clinton Cards party shops. Go for the paler coloured stuff as dyes can run in the rain and ruin the Brides dress.
As for presents the Bride and Groom often have a Gift List which guest can choose presents from. If not and you can't think of a present a cheque or gift voucher wouldn't go amiss!

Confetti? In a small village like London? You'll be Lucky!
Anyways, in England it's traditional to throw gravel on to the bride not confetti.
