although this is an on going debate that has been going on for many years. I can only voice my opinion.

I do not feel anyone is born gay or straight. I think it has more to do in how you are raised than anything. It is the same for everything. we dont know at birth what sex is and we do not find out magically it is something picked up and taught by others around us.

we do not come out swinging a bat and become a major league ball player and we do not come out knowing we are straight or gay.

our minds learn as we grow at birth we are blank and only go by instinct - we can not ask for food we cry we can not say i am wet we cry but soon we are taught to ask for food or become potty trained.

we develope by learning not already knowing. To me it is impossible to come out knowing what you perfer.

The genetics will tell you its all in the genes, thus you have no choice and are born the way you turn out to be. I believe the old school that its learned. Example: You learn to use the bath room by being potty trained, are taught how to wash the body, and to be a racist. At a certain age you begin to experience sexual thoughts, wet dreams, etc...Its a fact most people will experiment with same sex partners, just as they experiment with drugs and alcohol. But not all who experiment will continue along that path. Most will abandon those routes. In this case, homosexuality gives way tor heterosexual. I love wine but its my choice to become a wine-o or to drink it modest. The same is true with homosexuality, its a choice, a learned thing. I believe what the Bible says about it, that GOD made them male and female.

No one is born homosexual, and believing so is ignorant in itself. I hate it when people talk about homosexuality like it's some sort of genetic disease. That's just like how obese people try to convince us that their obesity is a disease and it's through no fault of their own that they're overweight. It's complete bullsh*t.

Homosexuality is something that develops over time, and I think it really depends on how a child is raised. For example, I saw a woman the other day at McDonald's who had three small children, two girls and a boy. Each of the children had a baby doll, the boy included. That boy will probably wind up being gay when he's older.

Children sexually develop between the ages of 2-6 years old - studies have shown that 7 out of 10 males raised in homes without a stable male/father figure was gay. Most of us in the social science field agree that it is purely environmental. However, it does not change. Some develop interests for both, some for one or the other.
This questions can be answered by flipping it around.... taking away all the social barriers, given the opportunity, would you change your sexuality from hetero to homo? Probably not. Then why on earth do all these fairies keep turning up....baby boom boom, fatherless homes, single moms, you'll see a lot more my friend....a lot more. Generation Xers and Y's are on their way to the breeding grounds with even less sanctity of marriage, so don't hold your crucifix too tight.

I was born that way. Or at least, the very first sexual thoughts I had when my puberty began, it was for guys. And this is the case with all my friends. I have met gay people who were married before and hhad children but they were always gay. They just tried to hide and fit in. I wouldnt choose to be a homosexual. Why? How? People need to understand that.

How does one learn to be a homosexual? That is rediculous. A man or a woman is born that way, it is not a choice.

i think its both! I think you are born with the sexual desire for the same sex but its only up to you to actually act on it. I think many people are born with it based what i see on tv, movies, ads, its just that most of us realize how nasty it is and just ignore those gay thoughts

I think that any homosexual man that turns gay is a learned behaviour but when that man has always liked other males then your born with it.
