It depends on alot of factors (age, individual metabolism, nutrition, extent of the micro-tears, shape the muscle is in, etc...etc...etc...) but assume about a week for the micro-tears to heal themselves completely.
EDIT: Just because the soreness goes away doesn't mean the tears are completely healed...it just means that the sorneness went away. As long as you are doing resistence training there are going to be tears in your muscle fibers....which is a good thing!!! It's the repeated tearing and repairing of these fibers that builds muscle strength!

Two or three days. I the meantime you will be stiff and sore, but can loosen up by doing more exercise, which will make you sore all over again. However, the good thing about this is that when you finally get in shape, the pain stops. When you can go through your workouts and not feel stiff and sore for the few days after, you're reaching your peak condition.
Hang in there.

If you mean how long does it take your body to get over being sore after working out, it depends on how sore you are. Usually it takes a couple days or so but if you're really sore, maybe 3 or 4 days. That's been my experience anyway.

artwork out each and every Mon, Wed. & Friday and relax on the weekends and you'll be ok. in case you have an injury, it takes approximately 2 days. you could relax as much as 3 days in a row, yet after that, you lose overall performance.
