I am disabled and could not use keyboard to control my computer. How can I control my computer using my voice? I use Windows XP and comfortable with english. Do we have any commercial software available within India?

It should be available in India, either in retail or worse come to worse you can always download it. "Dragon Naturally Speaking" is awesome when it comes to voice recognition and dictation. I would highly recommend that. You can also buy it and have it shipped to you.

i think your talking about speech recondition, i am not disabled, but i use it because some times i cant be bothered to type. any way, i use the software called "software speaking naturally" but you have to go through it with some words so it could pick the vocabulary of the person...

Use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9. I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8 and it works pretty good. You could order it here:

I would recommend apple mac os tiger ... it has a voice over commands and speech recognition.... it's much better than microsoft windows ...http://www.apple.com/education/accessibility/technology/speech_recognition.html
