A caddie usually makes 10% of the money that is won by the golfer, if the golfer wins nothing in prize money then the golfer has to pay for the caddies expenses, and a flat monetary fee is always agreed upon prior to the tournament, the flat fee depends on the caddies expenses for travel and the size of the tournament.
