The early Hebrews believed that God was one, and they were correct, as far as they could understand.

God is one.

Then Jesus came and revealed all sorts of neat things about his Father and the Holy Spirit.

Later, the Holy Spirit descended on Pentecost and added the finishing touches.

After that, the apostles not only knew that God was of one essence, but thay also understood the nature of the Trinity, which consists of three distinct and divine persons, co-equal and co-eternal, in one true God.

Only a bit later, would the term "Holy Trinity" be accepted and standardized for official use by the universal church.

The trinity is just a word that represents the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is easier to say trinity than having to stop and say all 3 names.

The father , son and holy spirit are all individually mentioned in the old testament. Also, if you look at the original Hebrew, anywhere the name Elohim is mentioned, it is referrring to all 3 of them.

And yes, Jesus made very clear distinctions between all 3 as well.

Because they were Jewish. Jews don't believe in Hell either ... Christianity adopted the concept from Greek mythology.

And the Christian version of Satan is very much influenced by other pagan religions as well. The trinity doesn't make sense anyway ... "no one goes to the father but through me" ... but if the Father and Son are one and the same ... then there's no difference.

Christianity inadvertantly picked up on polytheism and forgot its root monotheistic practices. The "trinity" is simply a way of trying to reconcile this obvious faux pas while saving face.

God, for reasons time-commemorated only to Him, revealed Himself to people very slowly, in bits and products. Noah and Abraham did no longer even have the ten Commandments to bypass by skill of. God's revelation of Himself culminated in the start of Jesus Christ, God Incarnate (in the flesh) and sending the Holy Spirit into the recent Church. The doctrine of the Holy Trinity wherein the only actual God is produced from 3 separate yet equivalent persons, the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is shared by skill of maximum Christian denominations which contain Roman and Orthodox Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals and Episcopalians. The God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David became into Trinitarian, they (probably) in basic terms did no longer comprehend it. there are multiple issues we can by no skill study God till we meet Him head to head. With love in Christ.

The word trinity is was not a word then. The Bible clearly shows in the Old Testament and New testament that it is true though. You are taking the islam approach of pointing a finger. It is funny you should try it when your quran has so many inconsistencies. The bible was around many centuries before the quran. It is not up to the bible to disprove the quran, the Bible has proven itself. The quran needs to prove itself. But the only way you do this is by running in circles...
Proving Allah by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Allah.
Proving Muhammad by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Muhammad.
Proving Islam by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Islam.

Round and round you go!!!

The Bible is the inspired words of God and written by human hand. The first 5 books of the Bible contain the stories of Noah, Abraham, Joseph and Moses. These books inspired by God and believed to be written down by Moses. Therefore, it would be the writing style of Moses telling the stories God told him to write down. Moses brought these first 5 books down from the mountain with him when he received the ten commandments.

When you go to the creation story in Genesis, lets see how God refers to the subject. Here are two examples.

Genesis 1:2
Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the water.

Why does it say "spirit of God" why not just God? I believe Moses is pointing out the Spirit specifically.

Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

"Let us" is used, it is plural. Why would God say or inspire Moses to write,"US"? Again, Moses is pointing out the plural.

the concept of the trinity is not originally from the scriptures!
this concept came from alexandria where many jews were at the
time and got this idea from the eygptians school of thought, e.g.
the trinity of the isis, horus, set. these are the trinity of the eygptians. later on this idea crept into the christian concious as
well. not enough space here to give all the details but you can find
this info very easy.

All were before our Savior Jesus Christ became man. How could they believe in something they had no knowledge of? They were still waiting for the Messiah to come to them. We on the otherhand are blessed in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and truth which is the Trinity!

Interesting point. I guess they knew differently. I think that many Christians don't believe in it either cause it's a church doctrine and not really biblical, but that's just my opinion. Many would not agree with me, I'm sure.
