Never...This kind of bs can take a lot of your time & some of your money but it's a worthwhile fight. Corporations often seek to exert this false power over people when in reality they often don't have the legal right to do so. Check out the websites listed above and troll around the web by yourself. Not enough people are educated about how a properly worded, certified letter can kill this type of abuse.

check out www.ripoffreport.com and also try www.bbb.org, there are some things you can do to report them from other consumers and that way you have also documented them in case you wan to sue before the statue of limitations runs out later.
