you don't need supplements to gain weight. just eat alot of healthy, clean foods. lean protein, good carbs, good fats, etc. you probably already know the drill. eat frequently so that you can get in alot of calories each day. you'll also need to lift weights to build lean muscle (as opposed to fat). for starters, go for big movements that use alot of muscles. they'll stimulate the release of human growth hormone in the body which will help you to grow. bench presses will get the chest. rows and pull downs or pull ups for the back. squats, lunges, and deadlifts for the legs. do about 8-10 reps per set (you should be fatigued by the 8th rep or so, as you get stronger this will require heavier weight) and 2-3 sets of each exercise. and don't forget abs. those are the basics. keep workouts fairly short as you don't want to spend so many calories working out that is prevents your from gaining. you have to make sure that you consume more calories than you spend in order to grow. all you need to start is 1-2 exercises per muscle group. hit each muscle group once a week at first. if you want, you can build up to twice a week. as you get more experienced your workouts will get more intense, but start with the basics so that you don't get injured and get the results that you want.

One way would be to bulk up your muscles with heavier resistance exercises. You would have to work up to this, of course, under supervision of a good trainer, but since muscle weighs more than fat, increasing your muscle mass would be the most effective way to actually increase your overall weight. Just be sure you have sufficient nutrients and liquids so you don't overtax your system and eat into your built up reserves.
