Valetines day has a lot of history to it but around 269 AD is when people began celebrating it for love. To show your love to a girl you would give them a token of your affection. In 269 AD chocolate and sweets were hard to come by so a gift of sweets was a big deal. Also since there were no jewelry stores your only other option for something nice would be a bunch of flowers.

Cause it's a love food. Chocolate makes us happy and we want to be happy on Valentines, right?

One of my recommendations, chocolate covered strawberries and either a red wine or champagne, magnifique! I think I'll block an evening this week!

Chocolate is believed to make a person happy, because of the Seratonin in it. After this is known, people have done it for decades and it has become normal.
