Your problem is that the deleted picture went into the TRASH and did not get removed. You need to empty the trash after you delete the pictures.
For future reference MOVE do not COPY then you will not have to delete. Select the folder or pictures you need to MOVE and drag them to the target folder. press/hold down the SHIFT key and you will see the cursor change to display the PLUS sign will disappear. this indicates that this is a MOVE and not a COPY. The shift key changes the drap and drop from COPY to MOVE or MOVE to COPY depending on if you are moving a file from the folder to folder on the same drive or from different drives.
For now you can format in your camera and get rid of the trash folder and get you a bit more picture storage instead of carrying around a useless folder. Or put the memory back into you computer and format it there.

Try pluging the camera into your computer and opening up it's memory files. Look not only in your picture folder but also in other folders to make sure there is no residual info that could be using up space. You will also want to buy a memory card in the future.
Since your running with 5 mega pixles your pics are going to take up space like crazy.
If theres nothing in your memory then take it back to were you bought it and have it serviced or if it's outside the return policy or you bought it on the net, contact Vivatar and set up a shipment to have the camera looked at. If it was bought at a discount camera website they might not take it for free though.

If you don't have a memory card in your camera, then you are working with the onboard memory which is probably really limited (32 or 16 MB) which is just a few pictures. There should be an option on your camera where you can format the drive that is on your camera. or you can plug it into your computer, and look for the removable drive in My Computer, that coincides with your camera, and open that folder, and see what is in there. When you delete the files on a removable disk, it puts them into a recycle bin (on the removable disk), which takes up just as much room. Delete everything on the disk, and then right click on it, and choose format drive.

You probably have saved and locked images in the built in memory of the camera. Even with no memory card there is still some camera memory. That is what is full. Delete

Did you delete the pix with the computer or the camera? If you deleted them from the computer the camera might still think they are there so I would try to clear the camera memory from the camera.

You've gotta have a memory card in the camera! Put it in...that should fix your problem. If not, delete the pics again....using the CAMERA to delete them!
