Your hair is not the worst! Long, curly hair with a tendency to frizz is very beautiful and cool. Everyone has bad hair days sometimes and mabe its just not your day today. I also have long curly frizzy hair, and I've noticed that I get really frustrated with it when I am in a bad mood overall.
Try this to keep your hair manageable. Use VO5 Hot Oil before shampooing. There is even a smoothing kind, but I've only seen it in some stores. Then pick a moisturizing shampoo from a salon- Matrix Biolage is awesome. If you can't afford this, Neutrogena Triple Moisture shampoo is good too. While you are in the shower, work a tiny bit of conditioner into your hair and detangle it with a wide toothed comb, using the comb to distribute the conditioner through your hair. Squeeze out all the extra water in your hair as you detangle it. Then use one drop off FrizzEase or CitreShine hair serum and comb it through. Now, you can do all kinds of styles easily- use a round brush and hairdryer to straighten, let air dry for curls, twist it into a low bun then let it dry for loose waves, twist into spirals for a dreadlocky look...
Above all, make beauty into a positive time for yourself. Rather than thinking mean thoughts about your hair, be nice to it!

I have long THICK curly hair. I used to dye my hair for many years. My mother still does. And I wonder if your "frizz" is from hair dye cuz it does dry and mess up your hair. If so, I recommend stop dying your hair and trim your ends. If you don't color...this is what I do. First I've accepted that I have ALOT of hair. Because before I used to put the hardcore gel stuff that makes hair hard and sticky-nasty. Including hairspray and mousse. Don't do it! So I found a way to have luscious, soft, curly hair.
I put in FX curls up curl re activator gel(tall bottle) after a shower, braid it and leave it for some hours. I do it at night and sleep on it until morning. Then I let it loose. (Do this in a cool environment, not in ultimate heat) And ooohhhh its leaves it soft, a bit more defined, and less frizzy. Looks healthy. If you want to try other hair serums do this procedure. Serums seem to work too, I have tried a couple. Having your hair in a braid lets it dry with the moisture contained and will define your curls more. FX is pretty inexpensive and you can find it at a walmart store and well, I use it and it works on me.
You wont have that "wet" look but it should be a bit lighter, softer, with nice curls. Then you can do some research on what hairdo to do. Oh, NEVER blow dry. never never never. (except i heard a lot of good things about the diffuser..i've still yet to try that) And NEVER use a bristled brush. Use a pick. A flat plastic comb with 12 teeth or what.
Try this style...Wrap and twist your hair as if you're doing a bun but twist very loosely..clip it closed and some hair strands will fall off the bun and it will look nice. Hard to explain..but try it.

You need to stop using hair dryers and those straightening irons, even the good ceramic ones, for a while. Go out and buy yourself some "masgues" and use them once a week. When you are not using a masque always use a high quality deep-moisture penetrating conditioner. You'll need to cut it too to remove the bad dead hair. It will probably take 1-3 years to get your hair back to a healthy normal condition. In the meantime you can use products like shampoos, conditioners, etc to reduce the frizz.
BTW, if you use a relaxer at this point, your hair can fall out.

oky doky, first thing you want is a hair relaxer designed for curls. I dont know where you are so I cant offer a brand, but check out your local supermarket or hairdresser to see whats on offer.
Then you google hair styles or up styles or whatever your prefered style is in the image section of google & you'l be amazed at the various styles you can do!
Good luck & be sure not to over moisturise with either your conditioner or leave in moisturiser. Id get anything that is designed for curls & only use in the ends. If you cant get the hang of it, just pop into your local hairdresser & ask for some advise, they will understand & have the knowledge :o)

You need a product to help controll the frizz and you need to try and keep from doing too much too it, it always seem the more you do the worse it gets. So, try and just keep it to a minimum. Like wash, condition, towel dry, gel and air dry. It may be kinda flat but at least it s not frizzy. I also use a diffuser on my hair when I want it scrunchy. I wash, condition, towel dry, add gel or mousse then use the diffuser to dry it also don't try to dry it completely dry that will make it frizzy also. Also frizzease works but too much will make it oily.

okay, there are anti frizzing solutions out there, but if you really want to get a new style, think short. The most important thing is that you quit trying to fight your hair and just accept the fact that you have curly hair. You need to separate the curls and maybe not blow dry them without certain products in your hair. Go get a trim and ask your beautician what she recommends.

Okay. I think you should try a deep conditioning treatment. You can buy them at most drugstores or WalMart. Then get an anti frizz cream. My hair isn't curly, but it gets a lot of frizz. Also, for when you straighten it and there are those stupid annoying hair at your part. It's called BioSilk, Silk Therapy. It is kinda expensive, but it works amazingly. Hope, I helped.

Try using Samy Silk Anti Frizz Smoothing Serum. I use it, and it works well. You should try getting a reconstructing treatment at the salon too. And a trim will help. Get some Biolage Conditoning Balm and put a bunch on your wet hair. Put a plasic cap over your hair then blowdry the cap while its on your head for 1 minute. Then put a warm towel on your head over the plasitc cap and leave on for 15 min. Rinse. This will help calm and recondition your hair. You may also try Redkens All Soft line or Be Smooth line. Or Matrix makes a nice line too. Sleek Look is one to try. So Re-Cap:
Samy Silk
Redken All Soft
Redken Be Smooth
Matrix Sleek Look
I have used all of them and they really smooth your hair nicely. I would go for the Sleek Look 1st. You can get it at any salon or at one of the websites I gave you.

You should try Pantene Ice Shine. It will make your hair extremely shine and squeaky clean, without drying it out or giving you frizzies. Try surfing the net or just going to the store and look around for brands that give lots of info and are suitable for your hairtype. You can also try the new Sunsilk products or the new Herbal Essences products- there is a shampoo and conditioner plus products for practically every hair type/ condition.
Also make sure you eat plenty of fruits and veggies and plenty of water.
Take a look at these four sites. The first is the link to the Pantene site, the second to Sunsilk, the third to Herbal Essences, and the last, a link to a site where you can find a meal plan to get your hair looking it's best! For the Sunsilk and H.B. sites, you can take a quix to see which set is best suited for your hair!
