very realistic- i have lost 10 pounds in one week (not fasting ) and then 5 the next week - it depends on your metabolism.
Just that you should know that if you do exercise you may weigh more because muscle ways more than fat . the most important thing to understand is not how much you weighs but what size you wear. so doing exercise will get you looking slimmer faster and you will lose more inches that way
good luck

To answer your question, a lot of it depends on your present weight. If you only weigh 70 pounds it is not realistic. If you are a typical person of average build 4 or 5 pounds can be lost in a day from light exercise (water loss) Normally a person can lose a couple pounds a week with little or no problem.

Use this tip in response to other tips you find helpful as there are many ways to lose weight. 50 days is not a long time and it is easier to KEEP weight off by developing a lifestyle dietary change-which takes time, BUT you can lose 14lbs, in 50 days, that is acheivable.
My recommendation is to intake as much raw food as possible. Keep on mind most all fruits and vegatables are digested in the small intestine, while starches and proteins are digested in the stomach. So eat raw fruits and vegetables on an empty stomach. I recommend in order to lose this sufficient amount of weight in the time frame needed, for you to consume raw fruits and veggies all day until evening and then have a sensible meal and do not eat after 8 PM. You will feel very hungry for the first few days(its not really hunger, its you body processing the raw foods-but that's what it feels like). At the end of your 50 days you will not only see results, you will feel more energetic and healthier.

I t is a very realistic goal.1 to 2 pounds a week is a safe amount to try to lose.Concentrate on lowering sugar and starch, and increase protein and water intake.Stay away from coke and pepsi, 1 can of softdrinks a day has been shown to cause a 15 pound weight gain in a year.

This site has the quickest weight loss plus gradual weight loss. You can lose 5 to 15 pounnds in an hour. Not bodyfat or water. Also lose 15 pounds of water weight in 5 days from excess water you are storing to nuetralize a toxic substance.
Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.

If you are male, water weight will be 8 to 12 pounds the first one or two weeks, then two pound the next week is resonable. It won't stay off, that 8-12 will jump right back. You can loose 2lbs a week.
