You won't really get over it. But you will be able to go on. A good cry helped me more than anything. After I let all the emotions out and quit trying to hide them inside I felt so much better. I won't say that it's going to get easier either. Some days you don't think about them as much, but some days they're all you think about. It helps to talk about them with someone. Share some memories.

Yes, after passing through a difficult grieving process. Time, as they say, heals. But I think the most important part is to never let go of the fond and loving memories, recount stories about the important memories, and accept that this is the natural order of things that cannot be changed. As long as your parent is alive in your heart, that parent still lives in a spiritual way. May the time come for you that grieving becomes a rejoicing of lives past and present. Bless you.

Not in a way that you forget the person altogether--the pain of loss does ease up over time. My Dad's been gone 12 years, but some days I long for conversation or to see him

Nope! My dad has been dead for 11 years or so and it still feels like yesterday. There has never been a day I can honestly say, that I didnt think about him at some point...
*bleh!* Drugs help! :-)... It was the absolute hardest when I got married and had kids... Now I get frustrated because I so badly I want him to meet them, but he can't...
Good Luck to you!

If they believed in Jesus they are with the creator. If not then they will be cast in the outer darkness and remembered no more. Why would people want to go to heaven a place where Jesus is. When they don't want anything to do with him. However if they did believe, then fear not and cast your doubt aside. Go to church there is so much support. For it is appointed to every man to die once when the body dies. Fear not the man who can kill your body. Fear the man that can kill your soul.

ooodjkooom kinda said it best. Its important to realize that they will live on through you just like you will live on through your children. Your parents would want you to live and have a happy healthy life.
