I and my girlfriend were in the swimming pool. She was eating a cherry when she was in the water. After she finished eating wanted to through the cherry pit into waste basket or something like . . . but it was very far away from the swimming pool, needed to come out from the water and walk to the waste basket or dustbin. My girlfriend is a very lazy so she simply swallowed a cherry pit. I was looking very frightened but she put her hand on her throat and it was gone . . . she opened her mouth and smiled. It was empty. She put her finger on chest and told me that can feel a cherry pit there moving down and after a few seconds she couldn't feel it anymore. It was in her stomach and there wasn't need to go to find the dustbin or waste basket. She told me not to worry because se will digest it easily and soon. So is my girlfriend true? Will she easily digest it?

It won't very likely digest, but it will pass through the digestive tract. Nothing to worry about unless she has a bad appendix. Good thing it wasn't a peach pit.

Need not to worry, she will digest it. Infact, young children swallow things like pennies all the time, and thy end up digesting them. The fact that she can breathe easily and cannot feel it in her throat is good and she will be fine.

Don't worry about it. It is not harmless. The most that can happen to her is that she will get a stomachache. It is like swallowing a fish bone, it is an accident. I hope nothing bad happens!!!!!

Wow, your g/f sure has issues when it comes to swallowing things, though all said, cherry stones are better than goldfish....

most probably it will come out intact by the next morning when she does her normal poop......the stomach acidic juice might not be able to dissolved the pit as it's hard...but what goes in will come out...don't worry too much.
