I found a freezing recipe here but it did not say to peel or not. Some of my tomatoes have peeled. I am going ahead and leave them as they are; however, I need to know if there is a chance that I will lose them. thanks

It's better if you do, because it's easier for them to thaw already peeled.

you must peel tomato's before freezing them . ill tell you why. when you use them in stews and chili's or even spaghetti sauce without peeling them the peels curl up and get all in your soups and such and they are floating all in your stews . i peel them cut in chunks and freeze in small freezer bags about 3 to 4 inches from bottom up they stay red don't put them in water to get the peeling off the condensation on them tend to freezer burn always peel i been doing this for 10 yrs and i know that the peelings can become a nuisance in your stews

There is no need to peel them before freezing. After being frozen though you will probably have to use them as an ingredient in soups, chowders, and stews rather than as a regular raw eating tomato.

We don't, we just cut them in pieces. But if we don't want to remove skin when cooking, we par boil and then dip them in cold water and peel them.

better if you do, plunge into boiling water for ten seconds then the skin peels off real easy.
