Rooster5glad is right, the closer you have your hands together to do a pushup, the more it works the triceps. The further apart they are, the more it works the pectoral (chest) muscles.
Pushups are good, also you can do tricep dips which is where you start with your back to a chair or bench, legs straight out in front and hip width apart, hands shoulder width apart, gripping the edge of the chair and facing forwards. Then lower your body to the ground, keeping your torso upright. Try and keep the gap between your back and the chair to a minimum. Raising yourself back up from the floor is working your triceps positively, and lowering down negatively (this is just a term it doesn't meanit is a bad thing). If you find this hard at first, you can bend your knees at first and build up.

In the gym the following machines will build triceps: -
-Tricep pushdown
-High pulley
-Shoulder Press
-Chest Press

or the following free weights: -
-French Press
-Triceps kickback
-Triceps extension

The quickest way is to tie a 5lb weight to a small shaft (taking apart a hand barbell is ideal) with some fairly thick rope, like clothesline. One end to the weight, the other secured to the middle of the shaft (so it doesn't slip) with about 2 & 1/2' of rope between.

With your arm extended in front of you, grasp the shaft at either end and start turning the shaft one hand at a time. The rope should coil on the shaft, raising the weight. Bring the weight up to the shaft, reverse direction until the weight is comepletly extended, but keep going, causing the weight to to go back up.

Five minutes a day of this will produce dramic results in weeks.

the guy above is wrong. when doing pushups the closer you put your hands together the more it targets your triceps. Try doing a pushup with your index fingers and thumbs making the sahpe of a diamond.

do army pushups. all pushups build your tri's at least a little, and, i think the wider out you do them, the more it works your tri's. chinups also work your tri's, as well as your pects, bi's, deltoids, and a bit of abs.
a specific tricep exercise though- stand staight up with a weight in your hand. don't move your body, and keep your elbow locked... then move your arm back and up. your arm should move from the shoulder, but put the smallest weight in your hand... and feel what it does to your tri's!

good luck man!
