I just posted why I believe. I'd like to say thanks for your answers and respect. I know some don't believe me as to my experience...and really it's okay. I've never been called to give evidence of my experience..only to share. I have never forced my belief on anyone. I've been asked why I believe in God...and I can only share what happened to me. I love all people, I even love those who mock me for my belief..because I did the same thing to Christians...I just couldn't stand that they believed in God...I really hated that for some reason. I love to be around non-believers, I think the vast majority are very honest people with good hearts...I love to hear their stories of their lives...and I share mine with them...some believe me...some don't. I think in the end it's our own personal choice..I do believe to reach out to God is required...he wants us to take the first step...at least that's the way it was for me. That was 35 years ago..I don't regret my walk with Jesus.

Thats so GREAT! It is not our job to change people, just to plant "seeds". The rest is up to the individual what they will do with it.
I love to share my faith, also.

The narrative in support of the question is in itself self explantory. He is on the way to self realiztion who loves all people and could stand unmerited criticism with open conscience as an ocean of compassion. The only hurdle that has to be resolved is the sense of delusion brought about by a veil of mind generated super imposition which distorts our good assessments and makes us think and act according to external ideas and circumstances as we do seeing a movie. Just as the reality of the screen in a theater does not effect us although we feel and see the contents and display of the many movies so also the veil of screen thrown up by mind need not separate us from the eternal reality of God and make us believe and act in a prejudiced manner sometime loving and another time hating as projected by mind -thought complex upon the virtual screen of human imagination. That humanity tries to cling to its existence and beliefs in religious norms and codes of conduct in support of it has not prevented prejudice and distortion and alleviated all human suffering filling their hearts and souls with infinite compassion and true love.

I am an atheist. But I don't mind that others have religious beliefs of whatever kind, as long as they don't try to convert me. If your beliefs work well for you, and you are happy with them, then more power to you.

It doesn't matter what I think, if your experience and beliefs have been helpful & comforting in your time of needs so be it. I'm an agnostic but I respect different strokes for different folks........

I think you "believe" in God because you are afraid. Like 99,99% of the believers. You are afraid. But there is nothing bad about it. It's not your fault, we are taught to be afraid. And guess what? I'm afraid too.
