If God is in every form in the universe which is made up of atoms, molecules, space, cells(single and multi)and so on ,and Darwin says that we can trace back our biological and genitical make up to singled celled creatures that derived from atoms etc.Is God and Darwin in agreement,

In the beginning, God created everything there is on earth and in the heavens in 6 days.

Darwin says it took billions and billions of years for even pond scum to form.

God says we are formed in His image.

Darwin says we are decendants of apes.

God said that all of His creation was "very good", and that nothing had physically died until the moment when Cain slew Abel.

Darwin says that life has been dying since the moment it began.

God is love, and by showing love, we become more God-like, and are perfected through it.

Darwin says all things are perfected, not through love, but through random chance and by the superior killing the inferior.

God's creation:
1.) Heavens, water-covered earth, light.
2.) Day and night
3.) Seas, landmasses, and plants
4.) Sun, moon, celestial lights
5.) Air and sea creatures
6.) Land creatures, bugs, mankind.

Darwin's evolution
1.) Quantum singularity
2.) Explosion and light
3.) Celestial lights
4.) Lava covered Earth and moon
5.) Water and primordial goo
6.) Plants and Bugs
7.) Sea life
8.) Amphibians
9.) Lizards
10.) Mammals
11.) Big Lizards and Big Sea Life
12.) Big Mammals
13.) Birds
14.) Primates
15.) Man

Science once taught that some animals just magically appeared out of certain materials (such as maggots randomly came out of rotten meat), whereas the Bible has always taught that every creature begets (gives birth to) another of its own kind.

Science once taught that a baby evolves from fish, to lizard, to bird, to primate, and finally human, from within the womb. DNA testing (as well as the Bible) proves that a human is fully a human from the moment of conception.

Mankind is fallible, as are its scientific theories.

If I asked you, "How many planets are there?" Surely you would say "9" right? I would then tell you, "Wrong!" Science is now debating on whether to drop it to 5 or 8, or increase it to 10 or somewhere in the 50's. What science what called "fact" yesterday, it will call it "ignorance of the times" tomorrow.

If God says, "In 6 days, I created everything", then I'm going to believe it was 6 periods of day/night cycles, just like He said. I mean... after all, He was there to witness it first hand, whereas scientists were not.

An interesting note: one theory of quantum physics is that an outcome of certain problems *cannot* be observed while happening, or else it will affect the true outcome. Schroedinger's cat, for example (place a cat in a sealed, opaque, soundproof, box, and fill it with deadly gas. It will be unknown when the cat will die... it is either dead, or alive. However, when quantum physics are concerned... it is technically both alive and dead at the same moment, and only when observed, will the cat be dead [although it was technically alive a fraction of a second ago]). I honestly believe that merely looking upon the universe tends to have the same effect. Observing the universe changes the way it is, into how it is seen... especially when seen under the lens of bias. A Christian has no problems believing in a mass flood when the fossil of a closed clam is found on a mountaintop... and neither does the atheist have any problems believing that the mountain rose up from under a sea bed taking a fossilized clam with it. Only when both that Christian and that atheist die, then will they have opened 'Schroedinger's box', and find out whether it was flood or chance that left that clam high and dry.

What is most important in all of this is what science DOES NOT say and what the Bible DOES NOT say.

Science does not prove there is no God. It rightfully admits that it does not know what happened in the first few moments of the Big Bang or what happened before it. It does not know what caused the primordial soup to create life spontaneously. It does not say how or where DNA was first formed, what kept it from breaking down spontaneously, or how it so happened that it was the PERFECT and absolute correct DNA sequence (1000s of base pairs in specific sequence) to correctly code for a cell membrane, the replicases and transciptases needed to reproduce the DNA, enzymes for energy production and utilization; and that this DNA somehow ended up localized inside a cell membrane to distinguish it from it's environment and protect it--all of this at a MINIMUM is required for life. Those are all recognized as "chance."

The Bible does not say whether the days of creation were consecutive or not. Also, since the sun and moon are not created until day 4, who knows how long the first "day" lasted? The Bible says nothing about the physical means by which God chose to create the earth or the sun or the moon. It does NOT say that He didn't form them the way other stars and planets are formed. The Bible does not say how old the earth is.

Darwinism is not a part of Christian teaching. Neither is economic theory, even though giving is part of Christianity. Neither is speech writing, although testifying is part of Christianity. Maybe we should teach those first, then think more on Darwinism.

If your believe in the Bible then Darwin's Theory has no place being welcomed into the teachings of Christianity. The Bible says that the earth was created in 6 days and that creation happened about 6000 years ago. Darwin's theory would have taken millions of years. So how do you put the two together? They just don't fit. God made humans as they are today. We haven't evolved. Nothing ever started as a single celled creature and turned into something else. It not possible. God and Darwin do not agree.

I'm sure they will pretty soon, when they can't deny the facts anymore. But here's my take on the subject...

Rather than do the usual Catholic thing, and make backpedaling statements, and change the original concepts of the religion, how about just owning up to the fact that it's all a bunch of tripe?

Seriously, what is the point of altering your religious beliefs, just so you can squeeze a little bit of sanity into them? Isn't this the same as worshipping the proverbial "golden calf"? Aren't you in essence, making up your own new religion, and just "pretending" it's the same as the old one?

Rather than try to make your irrational religion a little more rational, why don't you take the next step? Look at ALL of the irrational beliefs contained in the bible. Look at all of the nonsense that it contains. If you want to use some of the morals it contains, then do so. If you want to use it as a guidebook of sorts, then do so. But why don't you just drop the supernatural facade, and incorporate mankind's knowledge, together with traditional wisdom?

The bible was not inspired by, or written by, a god. And this is abundantly clear. God is imaginary. This is abundantly clear. If you want to alter the bible to fit it into the 21st century, I won't stop you. But I would suggest one major alteration that you haven't... take "god" out of it, and be honest about what the book really is.

Edit - Mad Roy... please don't confuse Ann Coulter with someone who knows what she's talking about, haha. Even right-wingers know that woman is a lunatic.

The best discussion of this issue I have found is in Ann Coulter's book Godless. The last four chapters of this book deal exclusively with the arguments pro and con for evolution and intelligent design.

Darwin's Theory appears to be a little shaky on evidential grounds. Fossil records don't support Darwin's hypotheses.

Darwin couldn't come up with the answer to how all those single-celled inorganic organisms came into being in the first place.
Nor was Darwin a Christian. He only went to Seminary to appease his father.
His "death-bed profession of faith" has been disproven - his wife wrote the account & included that part to make Darwin more presentable in the eyes of the general public.

There's nothing compatable between Darwin's "Theory" of Evolution and the Bible's Creation account.

As far as I know, the Catholic Church (the one to which I belong) has neither accepted nor rejected Darwin's theories. It's a matter of science, so the Church is silent on the subject.

Personally, I believe that an evolutionary process could definitely have taken place within God's creation process. Such a thing is by no means beyond God's power.

Wake Up.
We all would like to think that every soul will go to Heaven. But that truly is not the case and it is stated that way in the Bible. We must not let those who do not believe in Jesus Christ think that they will make it to Heaven. It is our responsibility to not imply that everything is OK just because someone is a friend or a good person. Do not trivialize the importance of Jesus Christ for He is the only way. We must be willing to speak the truth, not only for their sake but for ours also. Because the Lord will hold us responsible. Yes it is true, anyone who does not believe in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will go to hell. I do not assume that I can judge anyone. I know very well that it is not I but Christ who will do that. So do not get your feelings hurt on my account. It is not I that came up with this or made it up. It is in the Holy Bible. Some go through life day in and day out not knowing what they are headed for. And to this I am sincerely troubled. I fear the wrath of God. I can not begin to imagine what that would be like. I do know that any trouble that we have gone through here on earth will be pale in comparison to it. There are a lot of people that claim to be ordained to preach the gospel yet some just tell you what you want to hear and that in itself is a sin. If they are truly ordained to preach the gospel then hell is in that teaching. Read the passage from The Holy Bible kjv below carefully. I want to be clear that this is not coming from me but from Gods' Word.

I am not sure of Christian Religion but ...

If you believe in statement that god is in every thing, why do scientist still say that it happened by Chance?

Change it to say that it was done by God who is present in every Atom !!
Then we will see what can be done...

Secondly if God is so powerful to be present in every atom simultaneously, why will he take million of years to create?
It Goes against the general calculation i.e. (work days)/(no of People).

Well on that note if this were true that we were at one time ameobas. Why are we not still evolving? How come we are and have been at an all time stand still since the early a.d."s? Why are our bodies not constantly every thousand years or so different in some way? Does this make sense where is their scientific reasoning for this???
