The only thing you can try to control is the last on your list. I'm sure you meant what happens after you die. But, you can die intentionally, accidentally, from an illness, many ways, of course, and depending on how, sometimes affects those you would leave behind in different ways.

If you believe in evolution, etc, then you are just a product of that and have no control over anything.... if you believe you are created by God with certain privleges powers and rights, with a free will, then yes, you can control or influence much in your life.

ps.. you can definitely control the outcome of your death..... because a positive choice results in heaven, and a negative choice results in hell... it is a free will choice.

We humans have limited control. We don't really have much over our births but may have in accords to our death with how healthy we keep ourselves. There is no control at all over the past, once it is past it is written and therefore finished.

All of the above contain such thoughs that are deeply personal, and have no true answer. Yet since they are what we all must ponder as our existance, we all feel our views are right, and better than someone who feels differently, so it becomes a point to argue.

I do agree, we will never know the answers, so why argue them with others.

There is no way to change anything in the past, or even change your destiny and no there is no way you can control the outcome of your death, live life to it's fullest and favor God in your life, and he will take care of you

For me, God is in control. I ask for His help in the important decisions I have to make, and trust that He will get me through the hard times as well as the easy ones. We are who we are, doing the best we can, as a collective whole, that's all we can do.

I can control my attitude and in that way, have influence on my life. And indeed, why should I bother arguing about anything with anyone?

"control" is a deep semantic here ... if everything contains it's opposite ... then surrender and accept .. have to be close by .. control, surrender , accept ? ... even entirely outside religious contexts .. within nature and societies ... control, surrender , accept ... everything always somehow contains its opposite .. even if you hate me, lol .. you will concede I stimulate and provoke ...
