I'm looking for sandwiches to put in a school lunch. It can't have to be kept cold with an ice pack (want it to be disposable). Any ideas?

I'm trying to make it disposable- that means no insulated bag. I'm brown bagging it.

i used 2 have peanut butter when i was at school, but i mean, now i have ham & coleslaw and i know you should really keep that cool but i dont mind it if its not, although i wouldnt really put jam on a sanwhich because it makes the bread go kina soggy if its been in your bag all day - not good! although chocolate spread is yum yummy! but a tad unhealthy heehee, probably peanut butter's your best bet. but even cheese is ok if its not been cooled.......sandwhiches are endless and im still drunk so sorry for this rambling a load of rubbish lol

Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches:

1 3 1/2- to 4-pound rotisserie chicken, meat shredded (about 5 cups)
1 to 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, roughly chopped (optional)
4 hamburger buns
Potato chips (optional)

In a bowl, combine the chicken, barbecue sauce, and jalapeños (if using). Divide the mixture evenly among the bottoms of the buns and sandwich with the tops. Serve with potato chips (if using).

Yield: Makes 4 servings

Sandwiches can keep fresh for several hours without an ice pack. Just use an insulated lunch box and anything is fine.

Just about any sandwich would be alright, just as long as it's wrapped in the sandwich bag properly. My own opion is any sandwich is better with whole wheat bread.

ham sandwich

Spread butter or margarine (no mayo!) on any bread.
Before add any ham, make sure to soak extra juice up with paper towel. then put ham.
Put lettuce in the other sandwich bag. (add when you eat.)
Good to go!!
